Sakhira had been preoccupied with making sure that there weren't possible predators nearby, and hadn't been watching Shango struggling to catch fish. Perhaps that was a good thing. She didn't wonder why he had taken so long, she had no idea how long it was supposed to take anyways.
Her body relaxed when Shango returned. She no longer had to be on guard. The fish- had a stone? Sakhira didn't know lessers could have stones, though she supposed it did make sense. Did that mean they could also have magic? The fact that he caught a fish explained why he was so wet. The main barrier that prevented her from eating fish herself was because she didn't like to get wet. Though it was mainly because of the water being dirty looking rather than getting wet. But she also didn't like to get wet. She supposed none of this mattered to Shango, and he probably even enjoyed getting soaked through considering how he was the one who summoned the rain too.
She accepted the fish, bending down to rip off the other half before gulping it down. And it tasted
good. Considering how much she disliked water, it was surprising how good fish tasted. Perhaps she should learn how to fish, though whether it was really worth risking getting soaked was another matter.
"Thanks." she clicked her beak, relishing the fishy taste in her mouth.
The sphynx watches as Shango proceeds to revive the other two stones. So it was magic. She hoped that she would be able to do that someday. Though they were weak, it had worked. But it seemed the cost of reviving so many was that it sapped his energy. Sakhira felt that it was time for her to go. It looked like he wanted to get some rest, and she couldn't blame him. She was grateful for his help. There was no point sticking around especially since he should take a break. The own dipped her head,
"I will go. Rest well."
She wasn't sure if she would return to visit. Now that Shango had revived them, he was its new guardian. Parent. Sakhira had accomplished her goal, and she would take her leave. If she happened to bump into Shango and his children when they hatched would she recognize which was the Austinite? It would be a strange experience to meet the child for sure. Though she wasn't sure if that would ever happen. With a flick of her tail, Sakhira left to continue her never ending mission.
