Wholly unaware of the Collector's oily insincerity, Jim returned the Collector's goodbye with a "you too!" before the Collector abruptly dissipated into shadow. In a moment of curiosity, he reached out a paw to bad at the puff of shadow--was it truly incorporeal, like real shadow, or more like smoke?

But he lost interest in the matter quickly, and turned and trotted out of the mold-infested cave. Oh, what inconvenience came with being dependent on his feet for travel, rather than disappearing in an instant like the Collector! But Jim consoled himself with something he often thought to himself:
