We start in media res...! Where all the action lies!!
"Whaaaat'ss... that?" The kitten toddles lazily up to the dino baby and tbe bowl, hys movements languid and inarticulate, suggesting hy had only recently escaped a nap. That feels like an understatement, the kid would be considered a slumberer if hy wasn't so small and pudgy and cute. It's a common misclassification afforded to all kittens and cats on account of their small pudgy cuteness. You understand.
Ok, so that's not a lot of action to start with. We can do more actions. The kitten attempts makes little halfhearted grabby hands at the bowl and offers some sound advice:
"Sssteeall... God says to steeeaal." The more he reaches outward, the further the object feels from his grasp. This makes a pout creep up to his face, first evident in the wrinkling of the nose and the sour downward twist of the right corner of the mouth. No other commandments or scriptures are uttered at this time, because the baby is a baby who just woke up and that's generally not a time for coherent thought translated into coherent speech, but he seems upset and expectant of... something to happen, something to be rewarded unto him. The bowl probably.
Is this a bad in media res? Was your attention not captured? Do you not [record scratch] wonder how we got here? I guess I can't fault you for that, this is the life of a baby. For now the most likely events leading up to hym doing anything was that he woke up, got bored, and walked somewhere. And I guarantee you it was not an interesting walk. He got hit in the face with a rogue wind ant and maybe he cried about it. Most likely he didn't even feel it, he just didn't see it coming and it spooked him. That feels more action-packed than what I've described happening here. Dang it. Just... accept what I've made. Eat it up. This is all I can do for now.
