Callum felt the agony of the blood sap curse begin to cease, it would be over soon, over... and he was met with the sharp pain of claws and fangs digging into his head. Yet with it came again the euphoric venom, and he did not find himself struggling against it. It was a welcome relief, a feeling that he had not felt... in a while. Had he ever felt it at all?

He had suffered much, and the pain he felt now was negligible to what he had been through. It was worth the feeling of happiness, of excitement- for what? Callum had no idea. He couldn't be sure. But it felt like there was something to look forward to, that everything was quite alright. Almost as if in that moment he didn't feel weak and withered, and like he could do anything he put his mind to, even beat up that stupid tree in Cepheus.

His magic flickered for a moment, lighting up his eyes as the life finally escaped them, gemstone finally coming free, the dragon most notably had a rather large smile on his face.

Exit Callum to death

Erasmus fell backwards from the force of pulling the stone free, and then looked upon their foe. But their foe was too still. Like prey, after it was caught. But the foe had not been prey, only a challenger to the territory to be fought. Why was he so motionless?

He did not even breathe, Erasmus realized. That was what was wrong. An inquisitive, confused croon left Erasmus. Something had gone wrong. They curled around the stolen gemstone like a security blanket, distressed as they stayed by the too-still body. This wasn't right.

What had they done?

[Exit Erasmus]
