Aksha was now back in Eridanus after her rather long time away, and she had to admit she had missed it to pieces. With its easy access to food, water, and shelter, she didn’t know why she had ever decided to leave. It was a very nice and calming place to be. She wandered around until she came across two pools of water she had never seen before. Curiously, she went over to them and sniffed. There didn’t seem to be anything wrong with the water so she greedily slurped some up. Afterwards, she let out a satisfied, “Ahhh…” and rolled over onto her back beside one of the pools, staring up at the ceiling, which she couldn’t really see because there were so many trees and other tall plants in the way.
Crystals grew on the walls and ceiling, and there was moss everywhere. It was truly the most beautiful place she had been to yet. She was glad she had been born here of all places. Slowly, she drifted off into sleep, never expecting someone to come along and interrupt her nap…
@Makyna @Baratheon or whoever you wanna send her way. :D

It seemed as if those cats were intent on educating him about the way of the "All Mother". The gray one with a stupid raven feather was lecturing him about the supposed prayer granting abilities of the white mushroom. Why should he worry? Why should he care? He shouldn't... With an annoyed huff he turned and left right in the middle of her speech as he shouted a "yeah, sure, totally believe you" before taking off. The kitten couldn't follow him when he was in the air. Not like she would anyhow, she was far too absorbed with the mushroom.
The dragon landed a fair distance away and walked towards the Eyes. For such a large creature he was walking rather quietly... minus the sounds of breaking foliage and his sweeping tail across the ground. Not that he cared. He was a dragon, why should he care about making noise? Everyone else should be worried about alerting him to their presence. Perhaps if others were in that mind he wouldn't have suddenly happened upon the sleeping creature near the water.
His head tilted to the side as he examined it but he didn't feel like being an ass and disturbing it so he went around. He dunked his head down into the water and began to shovel great mouthfuls into his great maw. He wasn't intending to be loud but with his slurping it'd probably be difficult not to hear him.

The Devil awoke with a start. She’d always been a light sleeper, something that really annoyed her since Eridanus was so bright and loud all the time. But she’d awoken for a different reason this time. It wasn’t the chirping of birds or the flickering of the lights that woke her up. It was the horrifying sound of heavy footfall coming straight towards her. What sort of monstrous creature lived here that walked so loudly? It must have been huge, whatever it was! She opened her eyes as it passed her, then quickly shut them again when it swung its massive head to look at her. After a moment, she heard slurping sounds, and opened her eyes again to see the… thing… drinking giant mouthfuls of water.
She slowly rolled over onto her stomach, with the intent of backing away slowly… and that’s when the rumbling started. She had once again triggered her earthquake magic. She tried to make it stop, but it didn’t listen to her. Her heart pounded in her ears. She supoosd it was a good thing that the quaking wasn’t as strong as it could be sometimes. Maybe she was getting better at controlling it? In truth, that wasn’t what was happening. She had actually just had a weak cast. But she didn’t know that. She just prayed the… giant fluffy thing wouldn’t notice the ground shaking as she continued to back away.

It wasn't the sound of the creature stirring that alerted him, it was the movement of the earth. He felt it as a small rumbling in his paws while he drank. It caught his attention as he looked curiously down at his feet. When he saw nothing that would make the ground beneath him move he turned his attention elsewhere, right towards the sleeping creature who wasn't sleeping anymore. His intelligent pink eyes stared down at her while his large ears lifted and turned straight in her direction.
She certainly was a tiny thing, although at his size most gembounds were tiny. Still, she could set a record. He wasn't even sure if she was Booker's size and that was saying something. He blinked his large eyes at her slowly, trying to settle that aura of fear which radiated off of her. He knew fear when he saw it. All of his prey oozed it when they saw him dropping down from the sky so he figured himself a connoisseur of fearfulness.
He made sure his wings were tucked securely at his sides and he arched his neck downwards, trying to make himself seem smaller and less-threatening to her. His voice was low and gentle as it rumbled out of his throat, "Didn't mean to wake you up, tiny. You don't have to run away." Here he gave a slight one-sided grin. "You're too small for me to eat anyways." He gave a slight chuckle as he turned his attention back to the water and began to gulp down more mouthfuls.

When the massive creature locked eyes with her, Akshayaa became rooted to the spot. She was lucky she didn’t piss herself in fear. But then he sort of lowered himself more to the ground and seemed to look… friendly. And he spoke. His first few words made her feel a little better, but that last bit, which was meant to be a joke, only put her on edge again. His humor was not appreciated. She felt a snide remark on the tip of her tongue, but held it back because she was afraid of being eaten if she pissed this guy off.
She wanted to run, but she was curious at the same time, so she settled for backing up another foot or two, then settling down in the grass and making sure to keep her beady little black eyes on him at all times as he continued to drink. “Um,” she said slowly, trying to think of something to talk about. “What are you?” Had she hands, she might have facepalmed after that question escaped her lips. What the hell kind of question was that? Still, she’d already said it, so she remained quiet afterwards and waited to see what his response was.

His ear twitched when he heard her verbal uncertainty but he did nothing at first. Only finished his drink and only then did he turned back towards her. His ears twitched upwards as he waited for her to finally get her question out. It was a couple of moments, during which he nearly lost interest, before she finally managed her question. Well, elegant she was not. That question probably could have offended some... but he was not some. The corners of his mouth quirked up into a smile and a rumble of laughter escaped his throat. "I am a gembound like you." He said with a chuckle. He could have left it at that and probably irritated her because that would certainly be amusing but he would be nicer. After all, the poor thing was still quaking in her fur.
Her turned around to fully face her. His head lowered as he snaked his head towards hers to get a closer look. "Although if you were hoping for me to be more specific, I'm a dragon." He turned his head to the side to fix her with one bright pink eye. "What are you?" He already knew what she was but it would amuse him to hear her answer.

Aksha’s face went flat when the creature told her he was a Gembound. Of course he was Gembound. She wasn’t stupid. She opened her mouth to voice some snarky remark but then he kept talking. She flinched as he moved his head closer to her. His face alone was bigger than her entire body, so he could eat her no problem, and she wouldn’t even see it coming if he decided to do that. But he made no such move towards her, only saying that he was a… a dragon. This was a word she did not know, having never encountered such a creature before. She studied his body some, admiring its size and obvious strength. Sure, he was terrifying, but also awe-inspiring.
’What are you’ he asked her, and she stared transfixed into that giant pink eye as he turned his face to one side to look at her better. What was it with her and meeting Gembounds with pretty eyes? Meanwhile all she had were plain black eyes. She sighed as she replied to him. “I am a Tasmanian Devil.” She paused for a moment. “Are there are other dragons?” she asked, testing out the word.
@Baratheon -- sorry for the wait.

Baratheon could tell that she had been staring at him. Was it because of fear or something else similar to that crazy cat from Orion? Hmm... He was curious and always willing to indulge those that wanted to admire him. Sometimes it was almost like he was dependent on the admiration of others. Call it conceited if you want but Baratheon thought he was only giving his admirers what they wanted. Far be it for him to deny them a good look at his musculature.
When she answered he gave a grin before lifting his head up and shifting slightly to give her a better view of his form. He stretched his wings out, seemingly just to exercise them but really he just wanted to giver her a better view. "Well, you don't seem very devil-ish to me." He tucked his wings back at his sides, a cheeky smile on his face. He was about to expound more on how "devil-ish" she didn't look when she mentioned other dragons. In an instant that smile was gone, replaced by an angry snarl. He wasn't angry at her but the memory of the other dragon he'd met. Of course, the tiny girl had no way of knowing that. "There is! One other one! He's as large as the Monarch and black in color." His voice was a deep growl from the depths of his throat. "He killed someone and would eat you or roast you as soon as he saw you! He's taken up residence in Polaris and I advise you stay far away from him!" His voice had risen to a roar on his last sentence but now it lowered again, deep in his throat. "Until I go deal with him Polaris is not safe..." This was more spoken to himself but it was still loud enough for the little "devil" to hear.
