Tectus lumbered onto the field, that tiny frogbeak bird perched on one of her many spikes. It had given up trying to fly and she didn't really seem to care that it was riding on her. The weight was so miniscule, it might as well have been a feather. They were both in a bad mood - Tectus from being given such a small, pathetic creature, and the frogbeak from being rejected so hastily. There was a desperate will in it, however, to prove her wrong. Almost an anger, but it wasn't quite the kind of creature to feel so violent.

She stopped once she'd arrived, head turning to try and see where it was. She could feel the connection, it was close, but it...god dammit it was too small to see! "Alright don't embarrass me further," she growled. "Use your speed. Don't get caught. Just. Try to win." If this was a real fight, it would stand no chance and they both knew it. But this was a game. If it listened to her instructions, then they could come out on top.
