'Cause I'm having a good time

So it was the fingers!!! Or, the toes? Digits. Oh but who's paw hand flipper-thing named the expression if they had a different number?! He would experiment, he decided. With more friends! A running poll, of sorts, if he could get anyone else to participate.

"Thank you!" He soaked up the compliment, and then wondered, as he did. Flippers! He had never thought of his feet as anything but paws, but without claws and as squishy as they were? It was just more evidence of his hybridization, he supposed. Flippers weren't so far off, but then what were his little... Fins! That's what they were. So cool. "Danger?" The pup seemed totally lost in the idea, like the thought had never once occurred to him. Because it hadn't. Mocha had never been afraid. Not yet, at least.

Whatever death was, it didn't sound good, but Diem also didn't seem very worried, and Mocha trusted his friends. "We can go there! I can dive!" He offered, eager to get started. "But the Forge sounds really nice too! And warm! And dry, since you...?" He seemed to stop himself in the middle of his sentence, as if he was unsure how to describe his new friend. "Can't... swim?" He questioned, brows furrowed as he searched for any sign of fins, gills or otherwise aquatic traits.

"I can fly!" Diem replied, cheerfully. "Over the water, I mean. The tunnels aren't underwater." Were they? Memories there were incomplete, at best, by design. "But I'm fine with either one! I forgot, you can swim right to--there--can't you?" She squinted, struggling to remember the cave names. "I mean we could always meet there! But the Forge would be cool, too. A neat weapon or something. Or... something!" There were too many possibilities to list!

Armor? Rings, or other accessories?

"I guess it depends on what tier of adventure you want! A short journey, warm safe spot and some weapons or armor, ooooor a long journey, super dangerous... thing, and who knows what rewards. Maybe nothing or maybe just stones, or something!"

Diem's eyes widened, and in a hushed, slightly horrified voice, she spoke again. "I'm not ready to be a parent..."
