She didn't hit him as hard as she was planning, but that wasn't too bad. Besides, it wouldn't take too much to win at this point - Relic didn't want to kick Abaddon while he was down, so to speak.

It was enough force to shove the bull over, the impact reverberating through her little paws and sending a plume of dust up and around them. But as Relic was letting herself settle into the win, Abaddon's hind leg lashed out from the cloudy air and towards her own.

The kick caught her own fore leg, sending her tumbling forward in a mess of steel and awkwardly long limbs, landing on her chest with an oof next to her opponent.

...He hit?!

Abaddon was briefly at a loss as to what to do next. "Getting up" sounded good, but his forelegs hurt. And abruptly Relic was there, quite close, and he just sort of blinked at her.

Halfheartedly and without plan, he kicked out again for her legs, taking a page from her own book--but there was little fire in it.

There was something poetic about the stupidity of them both ending up limping, if he hit; but he didn't consider that. He just snorted absently, any investment in winning gone in his winded how did we both end up here bafflement.

And--belatedly--"You aren't who I thought you were." It might have sounded vaguely ominous or disappointed, if Abaddon hadn't already made his shortsighted confusion very clear earlier.
