TENNESSEE
"Oh give me a home where the buffalo roam,
Where the deer and the antelope play"

Hmm, perhaps the names just came before and even the older creatures didn't know. Tennessee grinned happily as the numbat peered at his homemade instrument. "Sure is!" He was quite proud with how it was going so far. He had the gourd which he could probably speed along in the drying process plus he had the strings and the stick! Just a few more things he needed to do.

He finished making his last string and moved onto another, dexterously tying his pieces of hair together. He paused briefly to dip his head politely as he gave his name, "M'name's Tennessee! An' Mister Booker-- er, uh... Ju's Booker. It's a pleasure t'make yer acquaintance." All these words. They just flowed from his mouth like honey without him even thinking about it. It was strange and yet nice at the same time!

When Booker refused the meal Tennessee nodded his head while Daisy wasted no time with downing the rest of the meal. He leaned forward, paws pausing for a moment as he stared with interest at what Booker was working on. He seemed to have some sort of stone cup with a... a shell? Was that it? On top. Tenn's large, pale eyes blinked curiously at the steaming contents within. "Tea?" He echoed. Daisy grunted and lifted her head at the scent of something new to possibly eat. Suddenly the newcomer wasn't so bad as she shuffled over to him and sat in front of him, tail wagging while she hissed at his cup. Viscous cave rat language meaning "I want that. Give it to me now".

"Daisy! Down, girl! No need t'go beggin' from Booker!" He grabbed up the stick and began to poke Daisy's back with it. The rat pup turned irritably and walked a few paces away from Booker, only to lay down and stare at the side of his head with bright red eyes. "I never heard'a tea before! I wouldn't mind tryin' it myself! An', uh, I reckon Daisy wants a cup too!" He let out a cheerful laugh at the still-staring pup.

He managed to finish with his next string and at that point began to work on another. "Oh no no, this is my last string t'make! Although... I might need some help dryin' that gourd over there... An' then I'll need to stick all this stuff t'gether." He had yet to figure out how to do that but it would probably come to him soon.

At Booker's last inquiry he nodded his head enthusiastically. "Right ya are! It'll make a nice lil' ole sound when I attach the strings to the rest of it then I'll have some musical sounds when I sing! Well, I'll have this an' my lil' sister hummin' along too! Yup!"
