The pain started to subside once Aleera was clear of the immediate area, but that didn't mean she was completely rid of lighter creature who had inflicted the sudden burst of stinging upon her face. Her form kept low to the ground, hidden under large leaves while keeping to dark areas, her fur a good for hiding in the shadows. In the distance the confused yips of the other canine could be heard echoing throughout the cavern, and eventually they forced Aleera to stop her slinking away to turn her half blinded gaze back toward the stream where she and the other had been.

Her tense form relaxed slightly as she saw a streak of movement through the overgrown foliage below and guilt hit her in the chest. The other may not have meant to hurt her as they had, but in the moment it hardly mattered. It did nothing to ease the continued sting upon her snout, and so the black wolf shook her face one last time to rid herself of the pain and continued along the shadowed paths until the entrance to one of the tunnels came within view. Without missing a beat the wolf vanished into the depths of the rocky trails, leaving behind the canine who used no words.

For awhile, the dingo sat crying on her rock, wailing for her new friend. She'd been so happy; the hope now fell, leaving her alone, lonely, even despairing. Arkrael had vanished from her life as soon as she'd entered, and now this wolf, too, had just run off.

With a soft huff of grief, the dingo finally flopped down, head on paws. There she moped for awhile, twitching hopefully now and again at nearby noises only to sigh again as they turned out to be not-the-wolf.

Would she always be alone...? Was she destined--ooh! A BUTTERFLY!

Just as suddenly as it had all begun, Feral forgot the wolf, leaping off her rock in a yelping tumble of slippery paws, oomphing as her snout hit the ground. Then she was scampering after it again, bouncing and barking, excited.

BUTTERFLY.

((ooc -- exit Feral! ))
