Laying on the ground inside one of the odd rooms that sat in the Orion cave was a round stone; seeming almost warm with the bright yellow shades that were freckled over the outside layer. What could it be? The layer seemed to glow, indicating something was alive inside, something waiting to wake up. So tight. A breeze pushed through the cave, stirring up some quarts dust that covered the floor. Like stars, but what were stars. It hurts. The stone moved, something wanted out. Inside curled a little being, growing just to big now for the safe earthly womb it slept in.
The stone moved again, this time with a sharp twist; the shell out the outer layer cracked under presser. Let me out! Something kicked inside, twisted and turned. The little being fought to be free, to no longer be squeezed inside. Another crack formed, revealing a bright yellow gem that layer under the rough rock. It seemed like this even took forever. but time seemed to hard to measure in a place like this. Yet, with time more and more of the rock fell away, cracking even further until a hole was formed. Air. Out from the hole, a little nose pocked through, sniffed furiously at the fresh air that it was exposed to. The stone struggled some more. "I want out!" The soft voice cried, with each struggle more and more of the stone broke away and out fell a soft little creature. The first thing she saw was the ceiling, looking up at the glowing dots of quarts above her. Almost like stars, but what were stars?

After his encounter with the bear cub, Isaac decided to make the way of his way through the tunnel of moss and lichen. He hadn't an inkling where he intended to head, but all he knew personally was that he wanted to continue wandering around and drinking in the sights of new, unexplored areas. It was still rather dark for him to actually see clearly as he wasn't capable of night vision, an the magic he held near his back foot flickered as if it didn't feel like pursuing more usage at the time. He didn't understand why the idea of illumination captivated him, but it did and he dealt with it with a calm demeanor.
If the lights in the tunnel did not leave him in awe, the room he had finally wandered into left him with a jaw-dropping expression. His tongue immediately fell out of his maw as honey-gold eyes widened in surprise. He seemed to lack words for the beauty of this room full of bright lights had many words to describe it, but not simple enough for him to not naively echo it. His focus was short-lived, however, as he heard a voice ring out and something shattered shortly afterwards. The pup jumped at the sound before blinking as he tried to regard the origin with both fear and curiosity.
Out came a creature from its crystallized womb! It looked similar to him with the snout, and the paws. However, the overall appearance said otherwise too. He crept closer to the other puppy as he lowered his body to the ground, and watched as another gembound made their way into the world. He had never witnessed a birth before, but it left him in awe as much as the cavern and its bright lights did.

Laying on the ground looking up, the little female was taken back at the beautiful site before her. Such a change from the darkness that held her for so long, the sparkling ceiling of this room enchanted the puppy. She twisted around once she began to realize that she wasn't cramped any longer and could stretch out her little legs. The fur on her paws and face was shorter then the rest of her body, ears flopped to the sides and tail was short. Now on her belly, resting next to the rock shell she fell out of, Delilah tried to focus her eyes on what was in front of her.
Everything was so strange, the first thing she could remember was darkness and silence; and being squeezed oh so tightly. Now she was in a place that was bright (at least to her), some sort of sounds and nothing to squeeze her and feel uncomfortable. These new feelings caused her curiosity to grow.
Blurry at first, everything came into view when she squinted her eyes and there she saw another pair of eyes looking right back at her. A sharp gasp escaped the newborn, sitting up quickly before falling back onto her side. It was hard to get a hang of moving, her legs tingled like they were asleep for so long. "Ummm . . ." Muzzle hung open as she struggled to get back into a sitting position before coming nose to nose with the pair of eyes. Her mind worked out what was going on but she wasn't sure what word to use but it didn't stop her from letting her mouth hang open a little.

The reaction from the other puppy left the male pup to lower his ears, and he pouted. He was expecting her to react the same way he did meeting his own species, but it did not seem the case. He watched her try to sit upright before flopping back on her side. Before he knew it, the two of them were making eye contact at a close distance.
It was still hard to make out her exact appearance, but he could sense her voice was higher-pitched was his simply by hearing. He blinked as he gazed into those dark depths before amber ones trailed down to see something glinting in the dark. He frowned at his inability to see everything clearly, and wondered if there were a way to will light into the room. If he managed to make himself invisible, he could try to make the two of them easier to see. Still, she spoke, and he owed her words too yet it was hard to think of anything. He decided to settle on something charming, and not-so threatening.
"Ummm!" he said cheerfully, unaware of the sound's true meaning. "Who you?" His tail thumped against the floor as his body laid on the ground. Perhaps it was a good time to try to make himself visible if he could! He reached out with his gem feeling his will to channel the photons, but it was too much to reach out to two puppies at once so he had to settled for himself. Panting from the initial effort, he decided to give it a shot.
(POST ROLL):
The effort left him panting more as he felt drained of some of his energy. He investigated what he attempted to do, and he could see his outline slightly better as a faint glow enveloped him. It was still not the best, and it left him sorely disappointed. However, it was successful so he felt better knowing the price had been paid for a good experiment.

Even as she started at him, not all the pieces were connecting together. Maybe it was because her mind was still a little jumbled since the puppy had just a moment ago crawled out of a rock egg. Scooting closer, she look the other in front of her up and down, they were small and fuzzy looking. It dawned on the young one as she looked down at herself that she was fluffy too, but far fluffier then them. "Who you?" This caused a head tilt for sure, who indeed. Face scuffed up with confusion, digging into her thoughts and looking for an answer.
As the other flopped down, the poodle followed right behind and let her legs slip out before her and felt the cool stone floor against her body. "Who you . . . who me?" Little tail began to flick back and forth as she tried to think of what to say; but saying anything was strange after being so silent for oh so long. Tho, her mind did have words, random ones that danced around and not sure what many meant. So, why not pick one?
The little female had dropped her head to the ground, thinking so hard but then a thought came to her. Why not pick one? With that thought, it slipped from her muzzle; unsure and questioning. "Delilah . . . who?" Hmm, Delilah? Yes, it was a good who for sure. "Who you?" She sat up to sit on her fluffy little rump staring at the other but paused when a glowing was coming off of the male. Was that normal? Her little eyes grew wide as she started at them, seeing a clearer view for sure. "Woooow . . . " Delilah was curious now, could she glow like him? How were they glowing?

Isaac wasn't particularly fond of the dark, and he had his few reasons. One of them was his inability to see what others were conveying with their body language as it was dark enough to hide certain details from his eye. It was frustrating when he wanted to see how other gembounds reacted as words were still difficult to place for the aging boy. He wondered if it were the same for other animals just born. Just like that, he did not hear an answer right away, but he suspected she was still adjusting to living now. He could be wrong, and she could just be interested in her own business rather than involve some stranger into the bubble.
A thump hit the floor, and the pup's ears were on alert. A smile crept upon his boyish features as the other finally responded to his question. Instead of an answer, the poodle gembound only tossed a question his way, and a frown returned. "Who you?" he repeated. "You 'Ummm'?" It sounded like a strange name, but sounds were strange in general. Sounds, words; all comforting if used right though.
So it turned out 'Ummm' wasn't her name as she finally emitted an answer after prompting twice. "Delilah," he echoed her word, tasting it to see if it tasted like mouse. "Me...Isaac." So he believed. He was occupied with glowing for her now, and some of the dim lighting radiated off the curly fur belonging to the other pup. Barely enough for details to tell. A part of him couldn't figure out his own fur texture, but he knew it wasn't all...poofy? Fluffy? Words were weird indeed.

Delilah The only limits we have are the ones we give ourselves.
Her soft head titled to the side, causing a floppy ear to flip over in another direction. It was so interesting to see the other glow. He was like the stars in the sky. But what were stars anyway? So many things worked inside of her mind, having been asleep for who knew how long, she was just so new to all these things. "Delilah." As the one before her said the word, she nodded. It sounded nice, a word that caused the tongue to jump in her muzzle and dance around the sounds. A name she was proud to think of all herself. Little tail wagged behind her quickly.
"Me...Isaac." And her attention was returned to him. "Isaac." A short word, but but it was another that caused a funny movement in the mouth. Flicking her tongue to say this new word over those little short points of her's. So she would call him Isaac, that seemed like a fine idea and she would be sure to remember that dancing name to tell others to call her by. Yes, a good plan. Wait, would there be others? Face scruffed up, thinking to herself but relaxed once more as she started at the bright glow around him. "Is Isaac star?" Glancing up to the lights above them, the gems that clutched to the ceiling.
The young poodle tried to work at question out in her own mind. What was a star anyway? Maybe it was something she had thought about while she slept in the place she woke in? Thinking harder, she tried to focus on the situation at hand.

Her head ached a little from thinking so hard, barely hearing a light 'thump thump' in her ears, but she couldn't tell where they were coming from. Feeling almost drain, confused why she would but looked back at the other pup as he glowed like a light. From what she could see, he was a little bigger then her, ears folded over but hinted at the possibility to raise up high. Then she wondered, what did she look like then? "Hmmm . . ."
