The young raven cracked his beak with pleasure at the name. He was about to agree when he thought about the name. His head tilted to the side while one eye closed and a leg lifted, a favorite pose of his for thinking deeply about something. After he'd decided on something he resumed his normal stance and crowed out, "Krak Krak! What about 'The Shiny Collector'? Krak likes all shinies, not just gems." He gave a nod. He was the best collector of treasures around! Nothing could escape his eye!

In a panic after the golem was discovered he threw his tiny bone club at the golem then turned to flee at Aza's direction. "Mission abort! Mission abort!" He parroted after turning around and trying to find a place to flee. Just as Aza had suggested he managed to flee into a hole but as he turned to peer out at the golem he noticed that Aza didn't follow. Instead the other fled into a separate hole with the grinding golem going right after him! Oh no! What would he do?

Krakarak cawed to himself, unsure of his next course of action. He looked at the reaching golem then the bone pile that was near it and slowly... an idea came to him. Krak much preferred to be a coward but since the Bone Prince was trapped and had been nothing but kind to him, he should probably help. Besides, if Aza was hurt who would break open bones? His friend needed to be saved!

Taking a deep breath he steeled himself then rushed out of the hole. He felt magic bubble up inside him as he flapped his wings and attempted to lift off of the ground towards the large bone pile. He could feel wind behind his wings, making him faster and lighter. Now he lifted up off the ground and up to the top of the pile. "KRAKARAK! KRAKRAK! COME GET ME, STUPID GIANT!" He cawed at the top of his lungs, hoping the golem would chase him rather than Aza'zel.

They had been so carefree and light, but now, panic was in order. Azazel had gotten himself caught in a sticky situation, with no knowledge whatsoever of where Krakarak was. All he could hear was his voice cawing out in fright, but even that was muted by the constant churn of stone on stone above. Stupid golem.

Panic rose in the bird's chest as the realization that he was now stuck in the crevice was obvious. Carmine eyes squinted to protect his eyes from the dust being churned up by the golem above. The mindless and blind creature paced against a wall constantly, obviously stupid being reasoning and unknowing of the source of magic. Giving a small chirp, the bird tried to reposition himself in the chink, moving his breast toward the bottom so that his back faced upwards and his wings spread as far as they could in the small cranny.

If only...

Krakarak seemed to read his mind, for the bird flew around the room quickly and landed upon a bone pile, crowing loudly. Azazel was sure that the golem followed magic, since he was the last creature to attempt usage of it... but he couldn't be sure until he watched it follow Krakarak. Regardless if he did, Aza'zel waited between steps, clambering further down the hole into a small shaft that lead under the ground. Squeezing through it, the bird found himself a foot away from the golem. That was all the ave needed. Now if only the golem would move... He could blow it a little with his gust, which would hopefully be successful...

But then again, the golem seemed to be attracted to magic... And magic had awakened it. What if... the two didn't use magic and the golem went back to sleep! Calling out as loud as he could, the bird looked to where he thought Krakarak stood. "Maybe if we don't use magic, the giant will go back to sleep and leave us alone! Then we can figure out how to get it out of here!"

The pile of rocks was persistent, pushing against the wall, unable to realize the obstacle that stood in the way between it and its prize. Only when a flurry of black feathers came bursting out of another hole did the golem cease its relentless advance on the wall. It stopped, for a moment slumped lifelessly against the wall. Then, slowly, its central boulder rotated to face the direction the raven had flown. The bird surged with magical energy - all that the golem could sense. Its rocks began to churn and it slowly headed after the bird, sluggishly lurching across the cave floor and away from the bearded vulture.

He got his wish. The golem twisted around and lumbered straight towards him! Fear twisted in Krak's gizzard as he watched the creature come to him. Uh oh... He looked this way and that trying to find an escape. What he saw was another bone pile, perhaps he could get away there... or even get there then somewhere else and lead the golem away. How would he get back to Canis though if he led the golem out and it just followed him back? Oh, this was a sticky situation.

He prepared himself to call upon the winds to aid his tiny wings in getting to the next bone pile a few feet away when he heard Aza's call. Don't use magic? Then how was he supposed to fly? Well, he could glide short distances without magic but the next pile was a ways away for him. Bother... He had to try right? The golem could see him now and would follow him, he was certain. If he could only make it to that other pile then maybe he could escape outside to the tunnels with the creature behind him.

He leaped and caught the air with his wings, gliding over to the bone pile easily. He didn't know if the golem followed but he hoped so. Still, he felt as if he should let Aza know what he was doing. [b]"Azza Azza! Krakarak is going to lead golem out!"[/s] Perhaps there would be a little tunnel he could sneak into and double back. He hoped so. Well, he better focus on getting the golem to follow him first of all. So he hopped down the bone pile and set out towards the exit of Canis, hoping that the golem would follow him. If it didn't he very easily knew how to get it to do so.

It was to Azazel's surprise and silent gratitude that the golem moved away from his prison, freeing the ave. But that meant that it now had begun to move toward his friend, who still had yet to master flight. The grinding sound faded for the few moments that the bird focused on wedging himself free. Carmine eyes flickered with panic and fear as at first, his frame seemed much too big to squeeze through the crag. "No!" He had to get out! His feathers were all ruffled and mangled, gnarled and broken. The Bone King didn't care.

It wouldn't end like this!

With one last burst of strength, the bird would rise from the crack, wings flapping wildly to steady himself. Dust clung to his rattling frame, and the bird could barely fly. With a few powerful strokes, the dust fell to the floor and the bird looked to find Krakarak making his way fearfully toward a bone pile. The rock monster was headed right toward him. "Not on my watch, Rock-face!" He yelled, shifting into a position that'd allow him to at least gain some amount of altitude. What he did next was something Azazel never thought he'd do. A dive-bomb manuver.

Scraping the rocky roof above, the young ave wasted no time in closing his eyes shut to keep himself from panicking. Then the Bone King plummeted to the earth below. His center of gravity was cast forth, sending the bird down toward the golem beneath him. "Come and get me!" He cawed, opening his eyes to find the golem seemingly swimming toward him. Everything seemed to go in slow motion as the bird opened his tail feathers, flapping his wings to right himself and face upwards. Snapping his wings shut tight for a moment to increase velocity as he fell, the bird would attempt to land on top of the golem's head with a strong force. He could only wait to see the results.

Finally, he didn't care if the dive-bomb was successful. He painfully took flight, moving away from Krakarak. Hopefully that rock-butt followed.

The raven was moving further and further away. It's wings would carry it twice as fast, faster even, than the golem could walk. But it followed anyways, slowly lumbering, trying to catch up. It hungered for the gem on the raven's foot, reaching out with its rock arms. The bearded vulture, however, seemed to have other plans. The golem was ignorant to his presence until it experienced a sudden force bearing down on it. The boulder that the bird collided with suddenly dislodged, grinding against its fellow rocks and landing with a thump on the ground. It rolled away, and the golem - now missing a critical piece of its body - stumbled. The creature found itself disoriented, unable to walk properly, let alone chase the raven. Finally, it fell to the ground. But the golem wasn't done yet. It persisted, dragging its body across the cave floor.

It had been attacked and weakened, and now all it knew was retreat. Whatever was in this cave with it, it wasn't safe. The golem would drag itself away from them, to find a place to hide and piece itself back together.

It seemed all was going according to plan. The golem was coming right at him at a slow lumbering pace that the half-hopping-half-running raven could easily outpace. This plan was foolproof! There was no way that this stupid thing could keep up with him so when he doubled back all would go well. Or it would have until he looked back and saw his friend attacking the golem on his behalf. It warmed his heart that his friend would take on the huge golem for him... but it was ruining his plan! The raven turned and hopped up and down, flapping his wings and cawing in an almost comical manner. "No no, Azza Azza!" He hopped from one foot to the other in an agitated manner as he saw his carefully crafted plan going out of the window.

He expected Aza'zel's assault to do nothing but he was surprised when a rock from the golem fell and rolled across the ground, nearly flattening him in the process. He gave a loud fearful caw before he leaped into the air and hovered over the rock as it rolled underneath him. The golem, having lost its rock, began to look unsteady and finally fell! Aza'zel had damaged it!

He gave a cheer as the golem began to retreat. But... what if it recouperated? Should they give chase? Krakrak hopped up to Aza'zel quickly and cawed out, "Azza Azza! The giant is weak! Krak! Should we follow and take it apart? Could put itself back together! Krakarak!" He was fully prepared for battle now that the rock giant was fearful and running. A scared opponent was easier to fight than a strong and ready one.

Azazel watched as the rocky beast sprawled out great stony arms to hungrily grasp the raven's gem, even if it was much slower than the half-hopping-half-running ave. Carmine eyes glinted with a determined fire, intensely focused on getting this golem to run away. Nobody messed with his friends! Vaguely, he'd hear the sound of Krakarak's raucous voice, screaming demurs and resentment. The Bone King would die for his friend before his friend died. So he reached forth with great talons, landing soundly on the rock mass for split seconds before he felt the granite shift and churn. Flapping his wings frantically, he'd take off just as the monster lost a vital part of it's body. The stone landed on the ground with a solid CLUNK!, which would echo about the room.

What amazed Azazel most, though... was the fact that this once strong, unstoppable, and dangerous force simply retreated like a weak and scared coward. Staring with wide eyes, the bird landed next to his companion. "Wow!" That was all that The Bone King could muster, staring in awe at the now weakened and stumbling golem.

Krakarak's voice disturbed him, and spoke of taking this rocky beast apart. "Let's do it! But how? Want me to pick you up and like. Give you a boost?" Honestly, picking up the raven and dropping him like a bomb seemed like a good idea, but Azazel wasn't sure if the bird could handle it. Surely magic would be okay to use now, since the golem was weak anyways. If Krakarak needed, he could supply a gust to get the duo to the golem faster and with more power.

The golem moved in a lopsided gait, eager to get away from the creatures that now threatened its existence. It had no idea that they intended on hunting it - only that this place was dangerous, and while it hungered to collect more magic imbued stones, it would first have to recover from the damage it had taken from them. It was moving at a fairly decent speed and nearing the mouth of a tunnel that would take it far away from them.
