With careful paws, Carcino led the way back into Canis. He was tired, sore, broken, but alive... and sure to return to a happy, family setting for once. As he reached the watery floors of the cave, he paused, dipping to take a drink- it was definitely a new feature, he noted, but one he welcomed. Prior to this, he'd wondered how the Bonebound managed to sustain themselves at all. This cave barely saw prey anymore... how could they even survive in here? The answer was obvious, and as tired as he was, Carcino knew well enough that living here meant traveling a distance to hunt for prey. We wondered if Canis would be able to sustain his growing family...

"Home sweet home." He purred, turning to glance back at the female leopards following him. He offered a smile, worn and tired, but relieved. Then, without another step wasted, he slid from his armor and settled against it, resting his head against the frame. "Remedy should be around here somewhere. Cure, why don't you call her this time? Try that roar out." He closed his eyes and leaned further into the cool scales, enjoying the way his muscles grew numb now that he'd stopped moving. "I'm just gonna... rest a bit..."

Paws dragged along the cavern flooring, following closely behind Carce and the growing cub that bounced around in between them. Exhaustion swept through her, causing her legs to be heavier than normal. Even her dragon tail seemed to drag along the ground behind her as she headed towards the place Carcino had decided to move their family. Though, through all her weariness, a smile curled across her features. Cure was well again. Bumbling around with all the energy she normally had even as the cub dared not get out of the middle of them. Hasira had been taken care of, albeit with some difficulty, but they could finally go rest. She had met up with Carcino on his way back from picking Cure up and now she was ready to rest.

Rounds ears twitched when Cancer's voice filled the area and stunning blue eyes lifted to look at him. As the leopard sunk down to lay against his own armor, Amaria pinned her ears back. She nudged her nose against Cure's rump, urging her along until they had caught up with Cancer and finally she moved closer to Cancer. Slowly she looked him over, checking his wounds closely before she dipped her head down and nuzzled through the fur along his neck and up to his cheek. She had no words as she slowly sunk down beside Cancer, snuggling up against him as she rested her head against him. She just needed to rest. However, she would not fall asleep. Not just yet. Her gaze moved to Cure, curious if she would be able to roar like Cancer had instructed.

It was a long walk from Eridanus to this new area her father had told her about. She had been carried all the way through Orion, but the moment they exited that place into another tunnel she told her weary father that she could walk now. So she traveled with them, safely tucked in the middle of them as she weaved and bounced around, eager to see this new home her father was taking them.

When they got there her father moved to lay down and her brows furrowed with concern. She knew her daddy was tired. She just hoped he was okay. It didn't take long for her mama to join him in laying down and she padded over to the two. Nuzzling and rubbing against both of them affectionately. Ears twitched and perked at her father's words. Try out the roar? Definitely! She grinned from ear to ear before she bounced a few paw steps away. Her twin was here! Oh how ready she was to see her, to just cuddle into her black and red feathers and fur.

Silently she stood there and thought about how her father had done his roar. Quickly she sucked in a breath and braced herself. When she released the 'roar' she had expected something similar to her father's noise, but what came out was a sharp high pitch squeak. Almost instantly her face began to burn and she tucked her ears close to her skull as her tail moved to curl beneath her. "Oh...well maybe I can't..." She murmured as she dropped down to sit on her haunches, digging here front paw at the ground. she dared not look at her parents not at all happy she had failed something that her father said it was something all cats like them could do.

Remedy had of course been up in the cliffs. She'd chosen that spot as her own, for it could only be reached by small, careful footing or flight. To add to the joy of her spot, Liora had grown too big to fit. She had the perfect place to hide. It was awesome.

Familiar voices below stirred her from her lazy day dreaming. The cub twisted and upon seeing the familiar shapes entering the cave, she gasped. Pa was back! Mara was back! CURE!? She stood immediately and waited, eagerly, to see her sister appear. Sure enough, the cub stepped out from between her parents and opened her mouth. Remedy braced for a roar, for her dear sister had grown so big in the cycle she'd been away.

Only a squeak came out. Remedy laughed, she couldn't help it, but as she did, she spread her wings and lifted from her perch. With easy strokes, she circled around the cave until she came in for a landing towards the family. As she soared down, she cried out to mimic her sister- instead, her voice keened and a whistling sound would echo through the caves instead as she launched from the sky, aiming to tackle her twin to the ground with careful talons.

"CURE YOU'RE HOME I CAN'T BELIEVE IT YOU'RE OKAY OH MY GOSH I'VE MISSED YOU AND!"

Cure's roar came out more like a feeble squeak. As Amaria rested against him, he moved to press his head against hers, smiling wryly at his daughter's attempt.

"Practice makes perfect, sweetheart. You'll find it someday." He reassured her, patient and gentle. Then, as another cry rang out, he twisted to look. Remedy. She was flying! Pride bubbled up and he rested his head against Amaria with a smile. His girls had grown so much, and they were such beautiful young ladies now. Soon they'd be fully grown and ready to make their own way in the caves. That thought twisted the pride into guilt.

Had he done enough for them? Had they learned all that they would need to know? Cure couldn't roar, but she could hunt. Remedy could fly, but she had barely gotten any bigger than she'd been as a youth fresh hatched. Concern wrote across his features as the two reunited, but patiently, he buried it, along with his face, into Amaria's fur...

...and as his face remained hidden until brown and tawny plush, those horns glowed red and with a steady, subtle gleam, he reached out for the trio of females and leeched from their good moods. It put his concerns at ease to feel how happy they all were now, and content, his head slipped down to his paws. The magic faded as the dark king fell asleep, exhaustion finally taking its toll.

Azazel had been teaching Remedy a little bit about flying since the whole Remedy and Liora fight ordeal, and now she was an excellent flier. He was proud of her just as he would be proud of his own daughters. Well, he was like their Uncle now, right? Remedy called him Uncle 'Zel, so why not? It had an awesome ring to it, at the very least. When the little critter found her own little niche within the Chambers, he left her to her own devices. From the sounds of it, the stag definitely couldn't reach her up there. He was just a bit concerned about Liora and Ashtoreth, but he knew they'd never leave Canis without asking or without taking Kerberos with them.

When he heard an overjoyed squeal, he snapped to attention and dove down towards the source of the sound. It was the cry of the little birbcat, and he landed atop a pile of bones, bare head tilted and carmine eyes curious. Seeing Cancer slump down due to exhaustion, he looked concerned for a moment before he noticed that the black cat was, indeed, snoring.

He looked to who he assumed was Amaria, and Cure as well. They had a striking resemblance, except that Cure didn't seem to inherit the scales of her mother. Perhaps Amaria didn't always have them? Azazel looked at the sleepy Karkata for a moment with a smirk before he put on a friendly smile. "Welcome."
