The stampeding claims of the male didn't make the uneasy feeling going away. "O-oh... We... We can all be friends, Nova." He wanted to be her friend as well? Ears stayed back for a moment to consider that offer. Two friends, would that be better then one? Considering what that could mean, but as Thistle spoke up and stood between the two, she focused intently on the antelope. Heart felt it like it broke as Thistle claimed she loved Baroque but turned to face the pup and said she loved her as well. This tug-o-war at her feelings continued. They wanted for her to be friend's with him as well; and that would make her new best friend happy? Nova would try, she would try for her. Nuzzling them back softly, "I . . . I understand." Glancing back over to Baroque, lowering her voice softly "We can be . . . friends if you like to." But Thistle would be her best friend and that was all that mattered for now. Nova sat her rump down to the ground and watched the teary eyed boy closely, noting to herself to make sure he doesn't do any funny business but he seemed like he wouldn't. The pup turned back to her best friend and quickly smiled. "Can we . . can we do something now?" Something fun, that's what she wanted. Thistle immediately reassured him, sending him those comforting words when he met her eyes. She even said she loved him, which sent a childish flutter of butterflies through his stomach. Not even his sisters said that they loved him, at least, not that he could remember.

Baroque was still positive that Nova hated him-- she kept shooting him those awful, judgmental looks-- but he could handle the pain it brought him. He could be happy for Thistle... That, and he knew some good games, so when Nova asked if they could do something, he let out a fumbling suggestion.

"W-we could play tag, o-or hide and seek?" He offered, lifting a paw to rub away some of his blubbering tears. A game would be nice... A good distraction. As long as it wasn't wrestling. He hated wrestling.

She looked between the two of them and nodded, feeling at ease. She'd done it and reconciled them both! Yay! Her little tail wagged back and forth like she'd seen from Nova and Baro both, enjoying the motion very much. She grinned again sheepishly, and when the idea was suggested that they play a game, she thought very hard on both options.

"Hmm...well...Tag would be a lot of fun, I'm sure!" She said very seriously. "But I don't think Nova would have very much fun with that. Remember how shaky we were when we woke up, Baro? It's hard to walk, let alone run. I think Hide and Seek would be quite a lot of fun!"

She giggled at the idea, dancing on her feet again. Yes! This would be good! She wondered who would win!

"And...there will be....a prize at the end!" She suggested, on a quick whim. "To the best seeker, and the best hider! And I will hide first; you two have to find me!"

She looked between the two, ready to go and find a hiding spot. "Ready? Close your eyes!" She saw one not too far by, and she hurried over to it, suppressing her laughter.

Not only did Thistle want to go hide, but she wanted her to work with Baroque to find her. I will try my best, I don't need help. A bit confident, even for a newly awaken child. Glancing over to the boy, but withheld her serious expression and tried her best to smile at him. For Thistle. Shutting her eyes tightly as the sound of hooves clopped the room floor, getting farther away til all was still. "Can I . . . open my eyes now?" Peaking slowly, glancing over to Baroque before dropping her nose tot he ground. Sniffing in deeply. Would Nova be able to catch her scent in this damp room? It was faint, but the scent was there. Almost forgetting about the boy as the pup began to follow her nose around the room. Wonder what the prize would be? Thinking to herself, only glancing back to the other a few times but didn't take much notice of his attempts to searching. The black pup wanted to find her first, so this would be a race. After all, even if Nova just met Thistle, she already memorized her scent upon announcing their friendship when she sniffed the antelope furiously. "I'm gonna win." ... But just as Baroque was about to go seek out Thistle with Nova, a voice caught his ears. His dad! Oh no. "Y-you go find her," Barry stumbled through the words, feeling tears prick his eyes. He wanted to hang out and play with his friends-- but how could he let his dad down like that?

Frightened, and a bit torn, the baby boy turned and bolted for the lagoon where his father was expecting him. Hopefully it wouldn't take too long, because he really wanted to get to know Nova a bit more... And, of course, keep playing with Thistle.
