Kerberos' body was shaking. The sickness hadn't left him, everything he had tried to eat he promptly threw back up within the hour. He was feverish-- something that mikró gymnó paidí seemed to adore but made him more and more concerned by the day. At least the goblin cat was no longer wet-- the first thing he did after his escape and the dip into the underwater rivers was dry off. He still felt bad about it, occasionally murmuring, "I'm sorry, mikró gymnó paidí, so sorry," in his delusional stupor.

His middle head was silent-- his right head paranoid. There was no rest for the great dog until he finally reached Tunnel K, the familiar feeling of wrongness somehow welcoming on this day. His paws stopped at the grave he had dug for Mau, a gentle, quite feline he had never met. "Mikró gymnó paidí, do not leave me," his voice whimpered softly.

His central gaze stared towards the entrance of Canis, his paws rooted to the ground. He did not want to leave this quiet, deathly still tunnel. Here, no one would come and hurt him. He could press against the wall and disappear. If only he was small enough to hide anywhere in the caves, he might have tried. Anything would be better than facing Aza'zel with yet another failure.

That, and the right head's crimson nose had caught the scent of the leopard family. Of Cancer, and Amaria, Cure and Remedy. He knew that they would have gotten to Aza'zel first. The sickness made him feel light headed again and he stumbled, flopping down on to his belly. He needed rest-- all of this stress was going to kill him.

How desperately he wished to have Giggle come and tell him he had done the right thing. At the very least, maybe she could ease his illness.

"Speech"
His poor brothers. His poor, poor brothers.

First, there was Booker - completely broken by Baratheon, and then there was Kerberos, who was being accused of murder. Not Kerberos. He couldn't have done it.

Bones stared down tunnel K, silent. Kerberos hadn't returned. He had left to Pisces for some sort of meeting - and he murdered someone there. No. He couldn't have. He didn't. Not Kerberos. No.

Everything was horrible and sad. Where was mom? Where was Kerb? Why couldn't everyone be happy again? Slowly, the dog closed his eyes and began walking down the tunnel. The dread and unease he felt only increased as he made his way down, quiet.

He opened his eyes. It barely made a difference - tunnel K was dark, but he saw it anyway. The giant figure of the hellhound and all three of his heads. "Kerby?" he asked. He sounded tired. He was tired. He wanted to sleep and forget it all.

He approached. The familiar scent of his brother filled his nose and he opened his mouth to taste the smell. There was something else lingering in the air with him, but Bones felt much too tired to care for it.

He approached, licking one of his brother's mouths. "Where have you been?"

Bevy was dead. Kerberos was responsible. Bones was much too tired to ask about it now, however.

... Bones?

Kerberos' heads raised, his vision wobbling and twisting with the sudden jerk of movement. He left like he had to be sick again, but there was nothing left in his stomach. He put a paw over one of his muzzles just in case.

It really was him though. The striped, grown up brother came padding close, and licked at his center muzzle. He couldn't help but lick Bones back, his snaking tail slapping against the tunnel wall. The fleshy noise echoed in the quiet chamber, and that alone made him force his tail still.

"I'm sorry," he whined softly, expecting Bones to know already. There was no telling off, not a single bone of anger or distrust in Bones' whole bony being. Just concern and exhaustion. "I went... I went... To Pisces, with the Carcino children." His voice was slow, his throat sore and his speech rough as though he had a frog stuck deep in his center neck. The sickness, it even made him sound different. More gravely, like some kind of darker monster. It scared him.

"I protected them... Did Bonebound need me at the door?" The question was more about if Liora was okay, but that was beyond his ability to ask. He was distraught, struggling with what he had done. Struggling with the fact that his whole family might turn him away or worse, turn their teeth on him.

The fever rising off of his heat-maker was obvious - the hairless cat had clung to the dog's back long enough to feel warm. It was an odd, comforting thing, to be absent of cold, but considering just how sick the giant cerberus had to be, the cat was almost willing to give it up.

Almost.

He was still mostly terrified and vaguely confused, and refused to let go of the dog for anything, buried in plush white fur. His whiskers were singed at the edges from the heat of the - whatever Kerberos had fired, though it just looked like an impossibly bright light to his passenger. Every assurance from the pup was met with louder purring from the cat, until μικρό γυμνό παιδί was vibrating, trying to comfort the dog in the only way he could. For once, he wished for a voice, some way to reassure his one and only friend.

Thankfully, it seemed someone else was there to do it for him. Sinking deeper into Kerberos' pelt, only his two moon-round eyes showing, μικρό γυμνό παιδί watched the other dog as it approached, ears flattening back, the purr rumbling to a halt.

At least it wasn't a bear.

But it seemed to make his friend even tenser, muscle turning to stone under μικρό γυμνό παιδί's paws, and the purr reluctantly ramped up again. He could... launch himself at the other dog, if need be. Fangs and claws. He would protect his host.
