Iris is a creature of the deeps right from her birth. With wide feet that act as powerful propellers for when she swims and a long and powerful tail to provide speed and an excellent rudder. Colored like cotton candy, the thin scales of the hybrid are cyan and pink. Thicker plating appears on her undersides, nose, and the heels of her powerful tail. Antlers protrude from her skull, right above sharp and clear eyes that are capable of seeing into the murkiest of waters with ease. She owns her draconic father's saber-like teeth, but doubled. Four teeth protrude from her top lip.
She seems to own no nose, but her blowhole is right at the base of her crown. Her stone encases an entire section of her tail, beginning as one of the vertebrae but growing out into almost a club-like look. Iris has two dorsal fins instead of one, formulated for cutting through water like a hot knife through butter.
At birth, she'll be around 8' long and weigh 780 lbs. By her fourth cycle of life, Iris will have grown and become a behemoth in size, reaching a massive length of 21' 6" long and weighing a gargantuan 5.5 us tons. Her height will be around 6', but she will never be able to stand to it fully on land due to her sheer weight holding her down, so she usually appears to be about 5' 6" tall. Most of her 'height' is held by her dorsal fin, which is around 5' in height, arcing backwards and remaining straight up rather than bent like most whales kept in captivity seem to be. On land, she is forever reduced to a crouch and a slow crawl. Her top speed on land while she's an adult is probably around 3 miles per hour. It is because of this that she often prefers to remain in water.
The thin scales and skin of the creature is also iridescent, shimmering and changing colors, thus her name. Due to the nature of her skin, they require constant dousing and must always be wet, or they will literally dry up and peel off—painfully, might they add.
