Torrential downpours cause localized flooding and many upset cats. Along with these frequent rain, from gentle drizzles to heavy rainfall, there seems to be a flux of Magicka drawn in particular to water sources. Occasional jet streams of warm air make narrower tunnels harder to navigate. On occasion, the rain intensifies, becoming howling storms with sleet or large hail. However, the temperatures overall are a little warmer, with snow and ice in temperate caves somewhat receding.
Xin grabbed at a few more bones before discarding them and going after another. He had just grabbed one when suddenly, it was snatched from him. Blinking in surprise, he realized the other had stolen it from him. Eyes playfully narrowed, he watched her. She moved in a zig zag pattern. He quickly scampered after her, all interest in the other bones lost. He continued chasing after her until he realized she had run right into someone. Trying to skid to a stop, he tripped over his paws and landed on his back.
He got up and looked over at who she had bumped into. His eyes widened in surprise. He had 3 heads! He watched, slightly wary, as he 3-headed dog lowered himself until he has on his side. Xin walked up to the dog, head tilted as he waved at him. He lifted a tiny paw and gave a slight wave back. He then looked back over at the gembound who he had been playing with only moments earlier.
Thankfully it was only Kerberos. The giant white beast of a three headed dog was the most harmless thing in Monoceros as far as she knew-- though he could put up a mean fight he never hurt anyone who didn't try to hurt his family. He was a protector, a guardian, and as always incredibly friendly.
Ashtoreth's tail swished behind her as she reached up a paw to boop one of the dog's noses, only to gasp in alarm as a strange, hairless thing made of eyes appeared from his fur. Her wings tried to flap to balance her but she fell back in a heap in the end, wincing at the pain in her still healing butt-bone.
The noodle crawled back to her feet and smiled sheepishly at Kerberos and the stranger, nodding at the dog and raising a paw to wave at the cat, sharing a peculiar glance with Xin.
Who the heck is that? She found herself wondering, her head cocking to one side as she settled her paw back on the ground. It wasn't like she could just ask, not without magic, and she didn't really feel like trying.
She glanced between her new friend and the big eyed leech in Kerberos' fur, a bit unsure, but acutely aware that only Kerberos had said anything so far.

Kerberos blinked as his goblin cat crawled up and got his attention, signing with his paws. The dog was still trying to learn the language-- body language was easy, but the gesturing was more complicated. Something about his thoughts? Oh, did he forget the cat? He smiled sheepishly with his middle head, drawing a tongue over the kitten with a bit of effort from the head the feline was standing on-- the cat could be hard to reach sometimes.
His opposite head was focused on the children, however. "I'm glad," he woofed at Ashtoreth's nod. "Actually, I have a friend for you." The head the sphynx was standing on lowered to the ground slowly and carefully, rumbling some gentle words. "Mikró gymnó paidí, this is Aza'zel's daughter, Ashtoreth. She is silent, like you, though her magic speaks for her sometimes..."
His middle head sniffed at Xin, grinning with big, pointy teeth. "I am Kerberos--" The heads spoke together to say his name and then the middle head continued, "welcome to Canis, little one. Are you a new friend of Ash?"
Xin watched as a hairless creature came into sight. He tilted his head before turning his attention to Ashtoreth. He then looked back over at the three headed dog. He was speaking. He continued to observe when the middle head sniffed at him. He warily looked at the big pointy teeth. This dog was huge, and he was still wary of him. He seemed nice, but who knows? He listened as he was told his name. Kerberos? An interesting name. And this was...Canis? He blinked. He wished he could speak, tell him that yes, he was a friend of Ash. Or at least he thought himself to be. He nodded. Yes, he is.
