Child Name: Carni Mau Vita
Gender: Male
Species: Egyptian Mau x Lammergeier

Appearance: Upon hatching, Carni and his brother will be roughly the same size. However, Eythan will eventually be the bigger of the duo. Carni will end up being slightly larger than a normal Egyptian Mau cat, weighing in at sixteen pounds. From birth, it will be obvious that Carni is albino. He will lack any pigmentation, painting him a pristine porcelain hue and coloring his eyes a pinkish-red color. Upon their face lies the classic 'beard' that his father owns, except colored a pale white. Plush fur covers their entire frame, where a long tail is covered in a thick plume of feathers. They are often flattened, somewhat mocking the shape of a normal feline's tail. During flight, they puff out and look more like the tail of an Avians, except layered upon itself many times. Carni will be incapable of flying upon large wings until he is 2 cycles old, where they will be roughly twice as wide as he is long. At his fourth cycle of age, the great white expanse will be nine feet from wingtip to wingtip.

Appearance: The bigger of the twins, Eythan is a much more gryphon-inspired creature. Eythan will grow to be pretty big compared to his brother, standing at his shoulders about twenty-one inches. Of course, he is much longer than he is tall, lean and powerful. He most certainly takes after his stone's previously created form. His fur is short, but thickly layered, spotted in tan and chocolate hues with a white undercoat. He bears a small beak, lined with sharp little teeth that you definitely don't want caught in your fur. Little ears sprout from his head. His forepaws are like a falcon's feet, sharp talons ready to grip any prey. Back legs, however, are definitely feline-like, powerful for springing up trees or at prey. With a two-fold tail and a to-be massive wingspan, (ten whole feet, wowie) Eythan will certainly be meant for flight.

Carni is Hebrew for "my horn". Eythan is Hebrew for "enduring, long-lived".

Eythan will NOT be adopted out. He will be my character. Once this litter is approved, I will post details on how to adopt Carni.

Alright, nerds. From what I can see, there's definitely a LOT of interest in Carni, so I'll definitely be adopting that nerd out. Hopefully you know that he is the revived stone of Mau, and Azazel is the life-giver. So basically, what I'd like is a 200 word (minimum) personality so I know what you'll make Carni like, a 200 word (minimum) RP sample with a specific prompt so I can see how you'll be able to respond to a situation. The prompt will be at the bottom of this post! <3 I'd also like to know about your plans for the future with this little guy.

Keep in mind that Eythan and Carni are going to emerge side-by-side, and be very close as brothers. Your prompt is, "Carni has found Mau's old bone tower in the Bone Fortresses, barely standing. Does he try to fix it, or does he playfully knock it down like a happy little kid and play in the bones?"

I want Carni to be quite active. Should he fall inactive for even a day without warning, I will readopt him out to a new owner. Sorry!

EDIT: I probably should have included in this post that the deadline for applications is March 19th!!! This will give me time to review them and decide who will be getting Carni boy, here.

CARNI MAU VITA

PERSONALITY ─ One would say that Carni is an exact replica of his mother, down to the bone. He's everything Mau was and more - proud, creative, gentle, and dedicated like his mother, yet also compassionate and friendly. Though he didn't make it out clean without the negativities either. They share a lot more than just a stone, including her stubborness, how impatient she was, how quick she was to judge everyone, and last but not least, her hatred for dirty and gross things. On top of that, he can be quite moody and pretty selfish, too. And let's not even begin on how much of a perfectionist he is.

Carni prides himself in everything he does, though he does tend to beat himself up about things that fail. Otherwise, he's quick to tell others of his success, and he might even stretch the truth a bit, especially as a child. Most of his pride comes from his creativity, something he can't quite explain. Although he hates to get dirty, he loves color and loves to express himself with it even more. Although what he paints isn't a picture or anything real special, it's usually a direct path to his mind. He can feel the need to paint at any time, be it anger, happiness, or fear.

He's a gentle soul too, usually always calm unless rough housing with his brother. Otherwise, he's hardly quick to go anywhere, but instead, slinks around. He's quick to forgive those he feels deserve it, yet also he doesn't forget easily. That being said, Carni dedicates himself to everything he does and everyone he cares about easily, making it more painful when those he cares about are cruel. He's friendly to all that he meets, though he's not quite the type to want to run up and greet everyone. Talk to him first though and he'll gladly talk to you.

At an early age, stubborn is just about all you need to describe him. He doesn't listen, at least not well, to what he shouldn't do and does it anyway, especially when provoked. As he ages, he won't change much, just be less of a brat about it. What he'll never stop being a brat about though would have to be how impatient he is. It's like he has no sense of time or how long it takes to do one thing or another, but it's not evident anywhere else.

For a young hybrid, Carni is quite judgemental. Although he may never say any of his thoughts out loud, they're definitely there. He might even let a few out to those he know will laugh at them like jokes. While he may be judgemental of others, he is a perfectionist himself and always strives for everything to be perfect - his coat, his magick, his paintings, all of it.

Although Carni is generally a friendly, caring feline, he is quite selfish of what is his though he doesn't expect others to share with him. Generally, he's only selfish with things he considers close to him, be it other gembounds (namely Eythan) and personal possessions. Carni also tends to get moody, especially as an adolescent maturing into an adult, though even as a mature adult, he'll still have some what of a temper.

All in all, Carni will grow to be a decent adult with plenty of time to grow and change as he ages into a nice, young man.

SAMPLE ─ Today was a day of firsts. It was Carni's first trip away from home alone; no Eythan, no dad. It was a scary feeling at first, being so young still, but he was bigger now; stronger. Not full grown at all nor a skilled flyer, but he was fast on his feline paws and quieter than a churchmouse. He'd been practicing too - his magic much stronger now than before.

Carni was brave though, enough to walk around enough while everyone was awake and not when the tunnels were eerily quiet and dark and night. A feline brighter than the brightest light and he was afraid of what lurked in the dark... though he'd never admit it, not even to Eythan who probably already knew anyway.

His thoughts distracted him from his minor adventure and when he came back to reality, he noticed a strange pile of something a few paces away. Carni strode towards the pile, head tilting as he blinked his albino red eyes at the mass of bones before him. A puzzled look crossed his face and he reached out to a bone that had fallen and laid on the ground askew.

It was an interesting pile, though it was more of a collection than a pile. The bones were spread wide with barely any height, some even a number of inches away from the source. Silently, Carni began to collect the bones and add them to the collection, piling them back on top of each other neatly, or as well as a young feline with wings that tend to get in the way can. For whatever reason, he felt compelled to tidy the bone pile, almost as if it was his own.

It was a quiet day, something he seemed to have a lack of when he got to be with his brother. As a result, he was being very beside himself, wandering aimlessly in the area with all the weird bones scattered about. He was looking for Mau, hoping he'd be working on his bone tower again, but found the spot abandoned. The tower seemed rather crooked, today. The bones toward the bottom looked disturbed, as if something small may of ran into it. He looked around thoroughly, not finding Mau anywhere nearby at all, then plopped down in front of the tower. He sighed as he contemplated how to help his brother stay up, then seemed to have a "light bulb" moment.

Carni purred as he trotted toward a funny bone that had a board bottom and thin top, then picked it up to carry it back. Once returned, he pushed the point into the ground and tried to adjust it so it would become a support. He tried he gently pick up the tower, but, to his dismay, his efforts only made matters worse. The sound of bones clattering together made him flinch, eyes closing and feathers ruffling (one fluff escaping the plumage). After he relaxed and looked down at the bone pile, he felt nausea creep up with the grace of a hurricane. He choked it down, then backed away from the ruined tower, trying to figure out how to fix this.

personality
Carni is not a genius, but he's certainly not stupid. He's got "street smarts," so to speak, but doesn't have a knack for much else. The poor feline is grace in the air, but a klutz in every other way. He trips often, falls off of things, and knocks stuff over. He never means to, he's just a bit... accident prone. Which is unfortunate, because he has has a good sense of things that might not be noticed too often. He's very honest and quite blunt without meaning to be. Carni does a lot to try to feel helpful, in whatever way he can, and he finds it therapeutic to be a therapist to others. He listens, keeps secrets and promises well, and doesn't hide his feelings. He's decent enough at reading other people, too.

You will probably never see him cry. He can't explain it, it just doesn't happen. He may also be guilty of being really good at holding it back. In instances that he has to bottle things a lot, he becomes extremely aggressive and "explodes" often. He often feels guilt and regret after, however, so will definitely provide apologies, even if approaching to apologize just might get him killed. Don't get it wrong, though. If he sincerely feels wronged by you, you're gonna know it and so is everybody else.

After a lot of consideration and thinking and deciding between the two amazing apps I got for Carni, I've decided to give him to Rasta!
