The boy deer introduced himself first, and Tamelyn giggled at his name.
"Nice to meet you, Vazi." Before she could say any more, however, they were joined by another deer, but one that was much, much smaller than any of them. Tamelyn grinned at her.
"It's fun to be loud." Her ears rose at the little creature's questions.
"And I'm not a dukier! I'm a deer...kier. An' I don't have my antlers yet," she admitted, then dropped her head, voice taking on a conspiratorial tone.
"But when I grow up, I'm going to look just like the Big Deer, and have antlers like him. But without the mushrooms." She idolized the enigma known to some as Deer Dad, and aspired to be like him when she was an adult.
Tamelyn looked up suddenly as she caught a familiar scent, and glanced over her shoulder to see an old friend bounding towards them.
"Nyx!" Overjoyed, she broke away from the others briefly to run towards her friend, returning her nuzzle.
"It's good to see you too!" If Tamelyn had had it her way, she would have kept all her friends together by her side, roaming the tunnels as one big happy family. She didn't like them being out there alone, where she couldn't protect them. Even so, she knew that would want to explore the tunnels as much as she did, and had to content herself with meetings like this.
She turned and went with Nyx back to the others, remaining by her side. The white deer mumbled something, evidently unused to speaking. She was probably younger than the rest of them, though Gembounds grew quickly. One word caught her attention. Game?
"I wanna play a game! I like games!" she agreed with no small amount of enthusiasm.
