((This ones gonna be mostly selfie but y'all are welcome to join if you wanna, just be prepared for some character development if you do :D ))

Kimen woke alone. His first reaction was to panic, as it had been many times before. Eira was not there. He'd grown so used to having her by his side. She was his rock, his stability. Most of all, she was his protector. He felt vulnerable and weak without her. He needed her.

But did he go out to find her.
No.
Of course he didn't.

Instead he lay and thought up many poisonous thoughts. Pondering why she had left him once more after vowing never to do so again. Not after last time.
Last time Kimen was alone his vulnerability showed and provided more than enough opportunity for someone to take advantage of it. He had healed since then. Though mental scars still would not fade. His mind shifted from anger at himself for being so weak, to anger at Eira for abandoning him, to anger at his attacker for being so cruel and merciless. He only wished that he saw more of his attacker so that when he was strong enough (a hope he clung on to) he could find his attacker and fight back.

For now, Kimen lay where he was. Wondering if Eira would ever return.

Kimen lay there for an hour till he eventually became very bored. This came as a surprise to him. He thought that meditation would do him some good. The idea of pondering everything he could ponder appealed to him, he hadn't had the chance to in quite some time. After a while it seemed that he pondered until could ponder no more. He had to have a look around, do something, anything. He grew agitated from waiting for Eira and needed to move. His initial idea was to go find her but something stopped him.

His mind filled with thoughts of abandonment. Why did she go? Does she need me? He worried. It seemed that every time he thought of her former memories of happiness and peace were corrupted to worry and anguish. He just wanted her by his side again but he didn't want to think of it anymore. He didn't want to think of her anymore...

He needed a distraction. Something to clear his mind. Something to fix the way he was feeling. He loved Eira with every ounce of his heart but right now his feelings we're so confusing.

He stood up. It was a start. His first step was difficult. It was filled with worry as he believed that Eira would never find him. He wasn't going to go find her after all. He was going on a wander. Thats what his mind was set on and so that's what he was going to do.

Kimen wandered around a little, first in a pace back and forth around the nest himself and Eira had made, then he moved onto a more set path around some rocks here and there but eventually, as always, back to the nest. He got to the nest for around about the fifth time before he soon learnt that nothing changed. Although it was his nest, and he felt obligation to protect it, he felt the necessity to continuously return, in case Eira does the same.

Perhaps, he thought, perhaps if I take something from the nest, then I won't miss it so much!
The idea, he decided, was a good one, so he took the long piece of cloth that once was used to quell the blood that seeped from his wounds that were caused by the attack on him many moons ago. The clothes had seemed to stained red as it had dried a while back, despite many attempts to clean it. For some reason, kimen had grown quite attached to the cloth, despite his fear of the memories it was attached to. He slept with it around him most nights and now, for his little wander, he had thrown it onto his back and struggled a little to true it around himself, donning it as a cape.
