Origin First Annual Olympics

So, after a great suggestion by members we have decided to host Origin’s first Olympics to help celebrate the games going on in rl! :D For this occasion there will be several events: a wrestling competition, an obstacle course, and a magicka competition. For each event there will be IC “judges” (but fear not the event winners will be based on rolls) and winners (1st, 2nd, 3rd, and participation) for each event.

Details:
Before the main events are hosted feel free to have your characters set-up for the events! They will take place in Polaris so your characters can have threads where they set up obstacles (rocks to jump over, strategically placed branches, etc.) for the events and they can also discuss who will judge and all that fun stuff! If you make set-up threads please tag Briar’s Game Master Account and use the words "Set-Up" or "Olympics" in the title so she'll know which ones are for the event ;3

For the main events they will start on August 12th and will be posted by staff. Once they are posted feel free to have your characters join in. Details on posting order and other things will be provided in each respective opening post so be on the lookout for that on the 12th.

To be fair your character can only reap rewards once in each event so if they enter the wrestling competition and the obstacle course and get first in both they will only receive 400 magicka, however, if you participate in more than one event you can get participation magicka multiple times. Judging and set-up threads are only redeemable once!

Wrestling Competition: This event will pit two gembounds against each other in a spar and will be conducted as a normal fight thread between two characters. The characters will be matched based on ages and size! No magicka usage allowed! Due to the nature of this competition there can be more than one winner.

Obstacle Course: The characters will run a race around and over obstacles placed by their peers! First one to the finish wins! Again, no magicka usage allowed!

Magicka Competion: Magicka use is allowed! ;D For this competition you will have to perform tricks and feats of magick to wow the judges with sheer skill or dazzling displays of magicka! Be creative!

Rewards:
For the first place winner in each event that character will be rewarded with 400 magicka.
For the second place winner in each event that character will be rewarded with 300 magicka.
For third place in each event that character will get 200 magicka.
For participating in each even your character will get 50 magicka.
For helping to set-up and/or judge your character will get 75 magicka.
For placing and participating in the events you will also get a nifty little medal achievement!
