The Corpseheart - A species of fungi native to Origins, that is similar in nature to the Stinkhorn family. They get their common name both from their appearance, shaped like a clenched fist with red coloration and blue veins, and the fact that they stink like carrion. Despite being widespread throughout the caves, few gembounds ever see these mushrooms as they only bloom from their mycelium when exposed to magicka. They bloom the most bountifully when channeled through the Stinkhorn spell, which causes them to swell until their gleba bursts and releases their foul smelling spores, but they can be coaxed into smaller appearances by those adept with other fungal spells. If inhaled in great enough density, the spores can cause nausea and dizziness by clinging to the mucous of the airways and preventing smooth airflow.

Inky Fairyfrill - A fungus sometimes found in trenches that have lost a large amount of water recently and had the lesser gembounds inside begin to decay, this mucous heavy fungus is actually protective to gembounds who must retain some level of moisture. When aggitated the mucousal layer sloughs off and begins to disentigrate into sludge. Some gembounds also call it the Spoiled Milk mushroom, because while it looks unappetizing it is completely edible unless consumed with fermented foods, in which case it becomes incredibly toxic. It can be grown on gembounds though use of the Inky Cap spell, wherein its sudden breaking apart is used as an escape mechanism.

Mother's Tear - So named because of its helpful medicinal properties, a bit of worship, and the fact that it grows in tear-shaped clusters on logs and trees, the Mother's Tear is a prized fungus. It is a potent analgesic, rather ; as potent an analgesic as can be found in most tunnels. When consumed it numbs the body, relieving pain and inflamation, some gembounds have learned how to process it into a paste that can help staunch bleeding and relieve pain in more concentrated areas.

Waxy Trumpet - An edible fungus that can be eaten raw, it gains a more potent flavor if plucked and dried. Some say that it gives off a smell like over-ripe fruit. It grows most readily in churned topsoil, and grows like an upside down horn, the waxy coating means any moisture that collects inside of its cup can be easily removed. Some gembounds use it as an edible means of transporting water.
