Bevy had to agree with what Makyna was saying. Material things weren't that important... She did like her gems quite a bit, even though she only had a few, but she would never hurt another gembound over them. It wasn't worth it. She only had them because... Well, Ratchie had decided that every gem they collected could be connected to each of them. For instance, the first one she ever got was Enna's. She absolutely adored the gem and was more than happy to go fetch it. Spreading her wings, the tiny bird took off once more to get the gem. By now it was small enough compared to her that it was easy to carry in her beak-- it was not much bigger than the gem on her chest, after all.
The gem was kept in a small nest among the ridges that lined the south wall where Bevy slept. She picked out its small, beautiful blue color among the dark grey rock, and scooped it into her beak before turning and gliding back down to the lioness. She was glad that her healing had seemed to do some good for her friend. At the very least she had prevented the cub from becoming sick-- she didn't want to think of what might have happened if the wound had gotten worse.
The gem was an icy blue, uneven shaped rock that glistened in the bright white light of the lanterns that lit up Pisces. It had flecks, perhaps just bubbles and air pockets, of white that looked like bright stars in the pale blue of the gem. It almost looked like a wing, with the way it was cleaved from whatever cluster it had once belonged to. It was a stark contrast to Bevy's black and red form, but ever since Ratchie suggested it was Enna's, the main fronter of the bird took special pride in the tiny gemstone. It was special.
"Do you like it?"
