The new arrivals did little to disturb the little mongoose. She heard them when they came, scuffling around doing whatever it was that foxes did. As long as she kept tabs on them to make sure they didn't try to get a taste for her hide everything was alright. So far it seemed that she was safe, lying comfortable in her little patch of warm air and light. Despite herself her eyes began to lower even more and her ears started to droop as sleep started to overcome her. A little nap wouldn't hurt, right? Those other creatures scuttling around had little bearing on her.
Just as soon as she started to get cozy and prepare to sleep the sound of approaching pawsteps came. Her ears perked again but she didn't open her eyes until the voice came.
"Who're you?" One eye opened as she lazily glanced over to the orange gembound. He wasn't unlike her in color and he had a way about him that reminded her of herself... He was also familiar. This was one of the creatures she'd met here before and a glance upwards showed that the other scuffling noise was the white one which had fallen before.
A grin appeared on Fang's face. The glimmer of pink diamond appeared from the crook of her smile.
"Don't ya remember me, Foxxy?" Perhaps he didn't but she remembered him and his friend. His name however didn't come back so easily. Maybe she never even got it, who knew?
"I'm Fang and I've taken a liking to this place. Pretty warm an' cozy, don't ya think?" Her voice was casual, friendly even. Behind that mask of casual kindness though was a cunning creature. She always had something she wanted and now she wanted to build a loyal following of allies. The fox would do well in that regard.
"What's your name again?" She asked as she sat up on her haunches, forelegs lifted off the ground as she examined him. He was a cute thing with fluffy orange fur. Orange, she rather liked that color, probably because it was what composed the main color of her own fur.
