The little mongoose had managed to find a space in one of the ledges that was just small enough for her to get into and store her various collection of items. Well, it wasn't really various now but she planned to expand said collection with various trinkets from different gembounds. After all, she was the Queen of Thieves and thus had a reputation to build. Not only a reputation but a keep for all of her items.

After getting into the little hole in the wall halfway up one of the pathways she'd found that the space opened up a little for her to store everything. So now she stood in this little chamber with her femur bone, the pink piece of diamond, and the paw-sized piece of quartz that she'd found the other day when she'd seen the two foxes and cub. Ah, that fox... the orange one had seemed like a distinctly interesting character. One that seemed like he'd get somewhere in life. She would like to surround herself with useful people, they could help her get what she wanted. A group to lead and trinkets to steal.

She wondered where the creature was now... Well, perhaps she'd run into him again one day.

Now she exited her little chamber and looked around the ledge. Warm air buffeted her fur but it wasn't so strong as to knock her off her feet. That's what she liked about here. Others would be put off by the fierce winds and keep away while she could come and keep her items safe.

The area seemed clear enough for now so headed further up the trail to a spot in the light and in a particularly nice patch of wind. Last time she was here she'd found that it was quite nice to lay down in. She did so now with her eyes partway closed and ears perked. Wouldn't do any good to allow someone to sneak up on her.

Mastering his craft was certainly turning out to be a more difficult challenge than it first appeared. Only having access to whatever batch of mushrooms his little foxy friend pooped out was frustrating to say the least. Being gifted with prokaryotic magic meant that his expertise lay in bacteria rather than fungi, but he wished to manipulate both in order to achieve supreme glory over others' insides. The ledge he had chosen was considerably large, enough to accommodate a fair cluster of animals should they appear and he had simply "set up shop" within one corner. It was... Pretty bare at the moment as he had yet to actually go out and harvest the mosses and lichens to really get it flourishing.

X was happily scampering about the edges, oblivious to the malicious intent of his friend. Louie just watched on, bored and unable to really do much else as he hadn't had a chance to get anything flowing just yet. Maybe he should go out and look for others to see if they wanted to join this little village thing he had made or whatever. Wasn't looking like a village at the moment but that would change with time. Just as everything always did. Nothing stayed the same in Origin Cave. "Stay here, I'll be back with food." Moving closer to the edge of the ledge, he was buffeted by the warm air, it wasn't enough to knock him off but enough to keep him on his toes as he made to move down the thin ledge.

Not really sure what he was seeing, the pelt of Diamondfang blended in slightly with the dusty brown shades of the platforms. Narrowing his eyes, he managed to make out her small form and as he got closer, he barked, "Who're you?"

The new arrivals did little to disturb the little mongoose. She heard them when they came, scuffling around doing whatever it was that foxes did. As long as she kept tabs on them to make sure they didn't try to get a taste for her hide everything was alright. So far it seemed that she was safe, lying comfortable in her little patch of warm air and light. Despite herself her eyes began to lower even more and her ears started to droop as sleep started to overcome her. A little nap wouldn't hurt, right? Those other creatures scuttling around had little bearing on her.

Just as soon as she started to get cozy and prepare to sleep the sound of approaching pawsteps came. Her ears perked again but she didn't open her eyes until the voice came. "Who're you?" One eye opened as she lazily glanced over to the orange gembound. He wasn't unlike her in color and he had a way about him that reminded her of herself... He was also familiar. This was one of the creatures she'd met here before and a glance upwards showed that the other scuffling noise was the white one which had fallen before.

A grin appeared on Fang's face. The glimmer of pink diamond appeared from the crook of her smile.
"Don't ya remember me, Foxxy?" Perhaps he didn't but she remembered him and his friend. His name however didn't come back so easily. Maybe she never even got it, who knew? "I'm Fang and I've taken a liking to this place. Pretty warm an' cozy, don't ya think?" Her voice was casual, friendly even. Behind that mask of casual kindness though was a cunning creature. She always had something she wanted and now she wanted to build a loyal following of allies. The fox would do well in that regard. "What's your name again?" She asked as she sat up on her haunches, forelegs lifted off the ground as she examined him. He was a cute thing with fluffy orange fur. Orange, she rather liked that color, probably because it was what composed the main color of her own fur.
