Berith grins at the name a perfect nickname flying into his brain. He continues licking the cut on Astaroths face again. "Hmm. I guess I will call you Star... Like your.. Um like your eyes.." Berith said between licks blushing brightly at the comment about his eyes and at him liking the licking. He decided the earlier proposed nickname wasn't so bad. "Ya know, you can call me Rith... Ya know.. If ya want."

Astaroth looked to the kit, through its' thin fur he could see his skin turning red Blushing? He though to himself only a moment before shaking off the idea. HE didn't believe that the other creature would be embarrassed to his comment on the licking or anything for that matter, then what the fox had said fully registered in his mind and he instantly turned bright red, feeling the skin of his face warming as he thought of it. The comment had taken him by surprise and he was really.. overjoyed to hear it. He quickly moved his face up to lick the little fox on the nose, and having done it sank back down with his head on his paws. "You know, a gem as small as you will have a lot of trouble in these caves, it would be a good idea for you to find someone to protect you. Like, for example, you could ride on my back and a least until you're old enough to take care of yourself you could ride on my shoulders, what do you say?"

Berith looked up brightly at the wolf, suddenly jubilant at the idea of being with him all the time. The very though of it sent the blood coursing through the small guys veins and his heart felt like it was going to burst. It took him a couple minutes to gain control of his emotions and be able to speak or do anything in response for that matter. Finally finding some composure Berith sat back on his haunches. "Well.. You are right. I would love having the constant company as well as the assured protectiveness of being around you. How do i get up though?

Ast's heart leaped at this, he was afraid his suggestion could have been taken offensively, like pointing out the fox's weakness. He laid down and grabbed Rith gently, placing him in the dip between his shoulder blades. "You should be fine there. Tell me whenever you want down, it shouldn't be long until you can just jump up and down, even to a point where you could do it while I'm walking." He nuzzled the fox while he was on his shoulders. Licking his jawbone slightly, kinda hoping he didn't notice but knowing he probably did. Hopefully he just wouldn't be freaked out.

Berith nodded feeling the heat rise in his face again. He felt the wolf lick his jawbone and it filled his body with yet another odd feeling. The position up on top of the shoulder blades was comfortable and Berith curled into a ball with his head on his paws facing out in front of him and the wolf. Smirking he said "Astaroth, I love it up here, it all looks so different. Thanks you.

Astaroth grinned when he heard what the fox had to say. "I guess it would be different, you are a lot higher than you would be after all on your own legs." He enjoyed the feeling of the fox curled up between his shoulder blades, the warmth and pressure he left there felt nice, comforting almost. He looked back at the little fox and nudged him on the forehead, sniffing the the soft fur.

Berith blushed at the nudge but continued to enjoy the view. After a bit he sat up and put his paw on top of Astaroths head softly. "I love it up here. I like.. um.. I like.. Never mind..." He stopped embarrassed at the fact that he was going to say that.. Going to say that he Likes him.... He felt the blood rush to his face again but shook it off lightly acting as if he hadn't started to say that. "Anyway, um.. lets go for a walk eh?"

Astaroth looked quizzically up at the fox, he felt he knew what the creature was about to say but he didn't want to say it himself for the chance that he didn't. He felt his face grow red as he looked up at the tiny fox curled up between his shoulder blades. He started walking but stopped and blurted out "I like you too..." His face immediately burned, he hoped over anything that he hadn't ruined anything with the fox by saying this. He kept walking, he kept his head down and tried to slow down the racing beat of his heart.

"O..Oh..." Berith was dumbstruck... Having all those feelings and holding them inside his small body was so hard to do. It was so shocking to know that Astaroth feels the same about Berith in any way at all. He felt his body would explode from the speed at which his heart was beating. "I.. I do like you.. I like you a lot.. And i like that you are so kind-hearted to me. Where shall we go?" He felt his face flush again as he said that.. So glad that the wolf felt the same ut also scared that he might take it the wrong way.
