After retrieving his brother, Saosin had taken great measures to pull himself back out of the river - the place that had long been his home for the past several cycles - and onto the ground. Worse, he had to accustom himself to walking on dry land again. The river made an easy home for him - it was the perfect temperature with its subtle chill and constant texture against his skin, the ever present pull that grounded him, the fish that ran beneath him. He rarely even left the river to sleep, having found a nice boulder partially submerged that he draped himself over when he wanted to doze. The river provided a constant lull of rushing water, and he was realizing now how much he appreciated the sound after moving out into a place that lacked it.

He and Khori made their way through the tunnels in the core to a place called Orion. Saosin had seen it once or twice - following the rushing waters to different rooms, just to explore and curb his boredom, but he'd never gone much further than the water. He'd never really seen the crumbling buildings up close or from the angle he approached them at, at the entrance of the tunnel where he stood with Khoridai.

"So where d'you think this Batcat guy is? How are we even gonna find him...?" the hybrid grumbled, narrowing his eyes into the darkness. Unfortunately, his sight was already poor as it was without having to battle with the pitch black shadows that swallowed them now.

Large paws followed after his twin, gentle pink eyes searched the abyss they traveled through. It was strange seeing the caves so dark. Never was there a time he could ever remember there being no lights. It was rather annoying; if only for the fact that he could not truly fly without risking slamming into something and injuring himself. It left him grounded for some time and he had to admit his annoyance was high. Yet, in his annoyed restlessness tucked away in Polaris his brother had searched him out. Speaking a tale of adventure they needed to go upon at the request of a creature called Nemean.

He did not know this Nemean, but if Sao was doing a task for this creature then it had to be important. A snort sounded from his nostrils as Sao's voice reached his pointed furry ears. "I have no idea, brother. Maybe it likes a challenge?" he know he sure loved a challenge. He had only heard soft whispers of a beast known as batcat, but he himself had never came across he. He didn't even know what it looked like. His long whip-like tail lashed around behind him, the fur brushing along the floor and most likely picking up all the dirt it could. He was going to hate how his fur looked when the lights came on. HE was probably covered in grime and dirt; which was never okay. How could a prince ever allow himself to look so...raggedy.

"Are we sure this thing is even in Orion?" he huffed grumpily as he lowered his head down to briefly nudge at Saosin's flank as they continued to move through the dark.
