Zevruu blinked as the kitten fell on their face on his leg. He flicked an ear. Oops. He hadn't meant for that to happen. He watched as the kitten looked up at him, and wondered for a moment if she was glaring. He couldn't tell, and wasn't sure if it was possible for her to glare with that gem. It was a rather odd place for a gem. He didn't recall ever seeing someone with a gem in a place like that.

As the cat turned away, he tilted his head until he realized she was staring at the Spire. It was the only thing providing real light in this room. He had his necklace, which let him see far enough out that he wouldn't bump against a wall, but the Spire far out shown that. He gave a small smile as she looked at him and then back at the Spire. He was going to have to explain it, wasn't he? Even he wasn't entirely sure what it was, but he'd try his best. He had never really gotten this close to it before.

"This is t-the Spire. It's the only source of light at the m-moment, but normally there are a lot of lights. I'm not e-entirely sure why it's here or what it does, but it gives the room an e-energetic feel." He looked up at the Spire before looking back down at the kitten.
