Pipsqueak! Of all the lousy nicknames! The little mongoose gave a glare up at the deer before averting her gaze. Nope nope, didn't need to give her the satisfaction of knowing that it miffed her just a little. To be fair she was short and also to be fair the tall deer was rather leggy.

Teeth? Her friend must have been a large meat-eater. Still, Fang wasn't about to act as if that little comment had bothered her because it didn't! Erebus was big enough to stomp on anything, even really big meat eaters! "Oh yeah? Well, my refined friend's feet are bigger than your's! And he don't mind stompin' on nothin' to prove a point!" The little mongoose yelled at Legs' retreating form although she wasn't sure if the deer heard her or not. Actually, she wasn't even sure if her friend would really want to stomp on anyone. Probably not but a bluff never hurt anyone.

Her attention turned back to the young gembound, a smile forming on her face. You never would have known that she'd entered herself into a competition with the deer with how sweet of a smile she gave Basil. "Now, where were w--" An earsplitting howl emanated from outside. The noise made the fur on her spine rise and made her grate her teeth together. Paws were held over both ears as she glared outside. Was that Tamelyn?! What on earth was she doing?

Fang looked down at the cowering male not very impressed by his show of non-bravery but still preferring his company over that of the crazed-deer outside. "Don't worry about that sound. It's just Legs yellin' in some weird way for who-knows-why!" No sooner had she said those words did the female waltz back in looking quite smug. The mongoose rolled her eyes before glancing down at the cowering aardwolf. "If it goes on forever then maybe she got lost forever? Hmm?" Her voice wasn't very kind. However, after giving the young gembound a pat she went on, "The caves don't go on forever though, nothin' goes on forever." At least, she thought that was true. If it went on forever why would she be able to find the same people over and over again. They'd just go off and never see one another again if it went on forever. "In any case, why'd have to go out and make that awful sound? Ya nearly gave poor lil' Basil here a heart attack. Just look at the poor lil' guy." She made her voice sound sad and sympathetic in an attempt to appeal to Basil and guilt-trip the deer.

"Speech" Thoughts
Audit's twitched. Jumping to life as an oh so familiar sound quickly drew her attention. Multi-colored green and black eyes fluttered open and the young she-pup lifted her cranium up from it's resting spot atop her legs. Most sounds were ignored by this little she-pup. Choosing to rather get a nice nap in within the confines of the tall tower that loomed over the city. She had been lingering within the area. Exploring the passageways and winding paths that lead in and out of structures that she was still unsure of what to call. Her call was nearby. Loud with her intent on summoning the creature she was intent on finding.

A tail quickly began thudding against the stone she rested upon. Had she know Tamelyn was near by Arkreal would have skipped her nap and went sniffing after her dear hatchmate. Quickly she climbed to her paws and circled around until she found the hole that led down onto the winding stairs she had previously trekked upwards on. One paw step after another Arkrael's walking soon turned into a trot as she hurried on her way. A grin creeped upon her muzzle again and Arkrael couldn't help but laugh a little. The fawn's howl was darn near close to sounding like her own howl and Arkrael couldn't be more proud at the little fawn that had managed to pull it off. She knew they were of different species, so she wasn't exactly sure what all Tam could do. Tamelyn's howl had it's own unique sound to it. A sound that would always grab Arkrael's attention above all else.

It wasn't often that Tamelyn would call for her. Usually Arkrael would just wander up and bump into her in their separate adventures. Curiously she pondered on what her hatchmate could need. Did she need help with finding something? Did she know Arkrael was in the vicinity? Was she in danger? The last thought sent Arkrael's pace even faster. She hoped that wasn't the case, but just for that off chance it was Arkrael would hurry.

By the time Arkrael was at the bottom of the stairs she was off sprinting across Orion. Following the direction she figured would lead her straight to Tamelyn. Of course she used her sense of smell also, knowing the sound could have been altered on it's path to her. It wasn't long before her paws were carrying her towards where she could smell Tam's scent coming stronger. Her paws skidded against the ground, slowing her fast pace until she was nearly walking at a tip toe.

There were others. Two different creatures around Tamelyn and Arkrael's heart began to race. Maybe she was in trouble? Or perhaps Arkrael was getting way ahead of herself. Arkrael took a deep breath and straightened herself up. After she steadied her nerves, Arkrael brought herself around a few bends on the structures surrounding the area before she finally came upon the small group. She instantly saw Tamelyn and couldn't help the grin that cast across her muzzle. She cast the other two a quick glance. Both seemed smaller than Tamelyn and herself so she quickly found no threat in them.

She padded right up to Tamelyn, rubbing her side along Tam's side in an affectionate greeting as her tail seemed to wag even more in her joy at seeing Tamelyn. "Are these your new friends, Tam?" She inquired as she finally took the time to look the two over. Her eyes seemed to glint when she spotted the canine that was cowering against the smallish mongoose and tilted her head thoughtfully. "Dear Tam, have you frightened this creature?" She gave a teasing grin to her hatchmate, nudging her shoulder playfully against Tam's shoulder.

Tamelyn
We'll reel away til the break of day
and dance together til morning!

Feet, schmeet, thought Tamelyn. You couldn't stomp what you couldn't catch, and nobody could catch her. Her high spirits only lasted until she re-entered the building, though, and saw how Basil cowered. She immediately felt bad, though as Diamondfang chided her, she didn't quite regret showing off, either. "You look a little shaken yourself," she shot back, noting the mongoose's fluffed-up fur. The deer narrowed her eyes. "And Ark doesn't get lost." Even though a bit of her was smugly satisfied at having shaken the mongoose, she did feel bad for upsetting the pup. She looked back at Basil, trying to give him a gentle smile. "It was just me, Bas. That's how my friend calls people, so that's how I call people. But I won't do it again, if that makes you feel better."

And, speak of the golem, here was Arkrael now. A shadow detached itself from the gloom, materializing into a running wolf that drew closer. Tamelyn grinned as she recognized her friend's familiar white-dusted pelt and bicolored eyes. She bumped her forehead against Arkrael's as the wolf rubbed against her, happy that her friend was here. She even forgot to make a smug face at Diamondfang. "One of them is a friend, at least. This is...Pipsqueak, and the little one is Basil." She looked sheepish. "I kinda scared him a bit, but I didn't mean to. I told him about you, and he wanted to meet you." She turned her attention back to Basil. "See? There's nothing scary out there, just Arkrael. Though I guess she can be scary sometimes, if she wants to be."

"Listen to me."
