Ákos' eyes narrowed at the way the little weasel was acting. "Sure, he grunted. As they continued, he flicked an ear. "I'm sure size matters. If I wanted to, I could probably pummel you to the ground." He raised his head, looking down at Envy as they placed a paw on their chest. The action caused him to look down at his own chest, where he noted a splotch of red against the white fur.

Was that whatever this gem Envy had been talking about was? This one clearly wasn't in his throat. That must be why he didn't seem to be struggling as much as Envy had, according to what they were saying.

Envy narrowed their own eyes, deciding that they didn't like this big, tall hybrid. They knew that they'd one day be greater than this 'Akos', and the weasel gave a short huff. "If you really think so, why don't you give it a try?" they hissed, arching their spine as they dropped back onto all fours. They remembered Dezba's failed attempts to strike them, and they were confident that this one would fail just as spectacularly. "I can show you how great I am!"

The little one had begun to fidget as rising anger caused their fur to puff out, their paws pattering softly as they hopped from paw to paw, tail twitching. "You'd never be able to squash me 'cause you'd never be able to catch me. Because I'm small. See? Even that makes me stronger!"

@Akos - feel free to have Akos try to step on Envy next post! if he does, Envy will ditch, and we can end the thread. That being said though, if we try and get in one extra post, we can claim 50 magicka rather than 20 on this thread. It's totally up to you! cx

The hybrid narrowed his eyes at Envy. "Fine. Maybe I will then." He watched them, anger growing in his chest. His feathery tail was flicking against the ground. "I bet I can get you. Just because you're small doesn't mean I can't get you!" His voice was slowly rising until he was nearly yelling.

Eventually, he couldn't take it anymore and began to rush at them, intending to trample the little weasel.

"Try it, then! You’ll never actually get me!" Envy felt the adrenaline rush building inside, making them grin wildly as they goaded the hybrid. Yes, they’d show this hefty creature who was really best! They began to jump and bounce, body twisting and thrashing tauntingly. Envy’s narrow eyes watched carefully.

As the big one charged, the world before the tiny weasel filled with thundering hooves, Envy’s heartsuddenly began to pound, and they locked up for a moment as though they hadn’t been expecting the huge creature to actually have a go. But just as it looked like they were about to be crushed into a squashed mess of fur and bones, they hurled themselves aside, twisting around those hooves like a tiny snake, and then coming out behind the deer with the grin on their face hiding their fear.

"See? I told you!" They shrieked.

Ákos' hooves thundered around the weasel, but no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't seem to trample Envy. He growled and whirled around to face the weasel. "You just got lucky! If I were to try again I'd get you for sure!" His eyes were narrowed, red flashing against the white of his fur. His nostrils flared, and he snapped his beak at Envy a few times as well. He let his anger get the best of him once again, and contemplated rushing at them but decided against it at the last second.

Envy snickered just loud enough to be heard, voice rising slowly until it was an elated giggle. "But you’re not gonna, are you?" the weasel asked pointedly, rising up onto their hind paws. "’Cause you know that you’ve been beat!"

Envy continued giggling, chest swelling in pride. Finally, their laughter faded to a more mellow grin, but with their fur still bristling, they still seemed somewhat wild. Envy knew that they had won, and the feeling in their chest was driving them drunk with self-congratulary triumph. "Heh, it’s pathetic, really," Envy smirked. Then they narrowed their eyes and for good measure, added: "...Stupid scrap."

Finally, bursting again into fits of giggles, Envy whirled and disappeared into the dark.

Ákos growled at the snicker Envy made, getting even more angry, if such a thing were possible. "I haven't been beat! If I ever see you again, I'll trample you for sure!" He snapped his beak a few times again. At hearing the word pathetic, they seemed to deflate while still being rather angry. "I'm not pathetic! You're the one who's pathetic!"

And stupid scrap? He didn't really know what that meant, but he didn't like it. "I'm not a stupid scrap! You're a stupid scrap!" With that, he watched Envy run away. "Not gonna stay? You're a coward!" he yelled after them, not even sure what he's saying. He watched the area the weasel had gone in before wandering away.
