Rift flattened his ear against his head at Li's angry tone. He caught the bristle in her fur and he knew that something was wrong, but he was scared to ask. He didn't want her to hate him so quickly and he realized that it was probably rude to probe. But he was itching to know and he was impatient to see the cat feel better. So he did the only thing that he knew how to do properly.

He reached forward and touched his paw to the ground, sending a silent plea for flowers to blossom from the ground. They did, all kinds of pretty flowers, blooming around him, the flying wolf, and the double-cat. He looked at Li, his tail twitching a bit. "Sorry, I don't really know what else to do to make you feel better then with flowers. So, uh, I hope that whatever's eating at you can get better."

He still hoped that Li would tell him what was going on so that he could help if he could, but he stopped himself from asking again, knowing that she'd probably get angry. But, then again, she had flowers now. Didn't flowers make everyone feel better?
