Skel rolled their eyes. How could one be so stupid?! Or perhaps the thing was toying with them.

"Dim-witted. It means stupid. You don't understand anything, you imbecile." Ghost snapped, sashaying their little butt some. They were so sassy. And the Imp thing, it was so repetitive and annoying. The marten wanted to attack, but it couldn't. That'd make it an enemy.

It was falling for it. Oh, how glorious! Quickly, Imp scurried along the rock, first upside-down then back upright, tilting his head to peer at Skeleton from all sorts of different angles--all of them with a questioning, confused expression.

"St... Stupid? And what's an imbecile? What's that mean?"

If he didn't already have a grin on his face, he might be grinning now. The little thing was so easy to wind up! So angry, so arrogant. It would be fun to play with--for him now, and for lots of people, he imagined, later on.

She was so tiny, and so mad! He giggled internally, careful not to let it slip. All the while he clambered after her, following along and watching her every move.

The butt-swish-... That was a weird one. He wasn't sure why she'd done that-- but one thing at a time!

Oh boy. Okay. This guy was just too stupid to handle. The little marten moved quickly away from him, annoyedly flicking their tail. Ghost wouldn't even answer their questions anymore. They couldn't handle it.

"Bye, Imp!" They called over their shoulder, trying to make it seem like they were leaving, but still wanting attention. Such a diva.

Imp snorted.

"BUT WHAT DOES IMBECILE MEAN?" he called after the mustelid, determined (to the end) to stick to his silly jokes. But the creature was wandering off, saying goodbye--and Imp immediately lost interest.

His mind drifted at once to food and shiny things and fish he could hunt--and other people he could bother. Without awaiting any further response he turned, spreading his wing-arms, and glided off and out of sight, deeper into the caves and away from the new hatchling.

He didn't tend to roam around attacking others, after all--as much of a troublemaker as he was--and the little thing wasn't angry enough to suit him. He'd find someone else to pester.
