She was so tired now, and it took so much energy just to keep her unseeing eyes open. Her chest clenched in guilt; they wanted a pretty light show and she failed so spectacularly. They all gathered around her, she knew, she could hear them and feel their sympathetic touches. This had never happened to her before. It was difficult to use her magic sometimes when she tried new things, but it never hurt her.

"I...I-I'm sorry," She said slowly, taking deep breaths and making sure not to stumble and fall because she couldn't see, trying to calm herself down. She felt both detached from what had happened and swarmed with guilt and fear. She felt like they might think less of her for failing, but at the same time, it was like that failure happened to someone else. Besides, it wasn't as if she was the only one this happened to, according to Aza. She took slow breaths, something in the air making her sneeze. A warm feeling washed over her, and she couldn't keep her eyes open.

"I think....I n-n-need to s-sleep for a while." She laid down and curled up, comforted by the kind words of the creatures she had just met. It wasn't as if this was permanent....right? She'd be able to see again once she took a nice, long nap.

Giggle watched the others also trying to comfort the deer, who seemed dazed and exhausted. She tilted her head, brief thoughts of trying to grow a blanket of fungus over the creature passing through her mind--but not a comforting one, no, more something-to-eat-it-alive. But that would be rather pointless, cruel even, even if it would wonderfully test her magic.

No; the birds would certainly not approve.

Giggle sighed to herself, at least internally, as she padded closer to the deer, eyeing her over. The red-and-black tiny bird had misunderstood what she'd meant by growing death. Giggle could show her, she supposed; she still had energy to test her magic further.

And she could do it in a slightly less... hostile fashion, too, she thought.

Dark eyes fixed on the pale and sleeping deer, Giggle went still, focusing.

This ought to show her...

Giggle leaned closer, staring down at the sleeping white deer--possibly looking more menacing, than anything. But a second later, tiny white mushrooms began to sprout, very slowly puffing up into broad, soft caps that bloomed out into a sort of pillow beneath the deer's head. The fungus fed on the rot in the ground, to be sure--but it was quite alive.

Giggle looked up at the birds.

"She sleeps," she explained.

Azazel watched the fawn settle down, he smiled softly. They'd go on an adventure later. For now, he was pretty sure that magic practice was over. He didn't want to accidentally wake the girl, which was likely since his magicka seemed to always be against him. He was of pupil level, and other few were fledgelings in magic, last he knew. Giggle at least. He didn't know how skilled Bevy was. Better to not risk it.

The Bone King watched as the hyena pup approached, birthing a small pillow of mushrooms. It was really cute actually, and he hobbled to the girl. "That's awesome, Giggle." He whispered quietly, backing up. "I'll see you guys." Waving a wing with glee and happiness, he nodded. Magicka bubbled deep within his core, and he thought to sacrifice it for a dramatic exit. Why not? Wind swirled weakly beneath his wings, but it was sufficient. His wings moved up and down like fluid in powerful strokes. It was a simple task to get into the air now, with the aid of hollow bones and large wings to capture air with. With the help of his magicka, he managed to push himself into the air, going nowhere in particular. Wherever the wind took him, he guessed.

... Now, Bevy was a quiet, shy little bird. She didn't like to make other uncomfortable and she certainly didn't like telling other birds-- or gembounds-- what to do. She especially hated calling others out on things. So when Azazel abruptly said Adios and Flew the Coop!, Bevy was left stunned.

She. She had--. She had come all the way here to SEE Azazel and Krakarak and now he was just going to fly off, leaving her with the hyena and a sleeping deer? Look, now, she was a reasonable bird, alright, but she couldn't help but let out an indignant squawk as she scrambled to find her wings and get in the air.

"H-Hey now!" She peeped, afraid of shouting for two reasons: The sleeping Clover and the fact she didn't want to come off as mad or anything. Her feathers were all out of shape and a few even fluttered off of her body to drift lazily to the ground as she watched him leave. It was clear the Bone King had places to be.

Well she was not going to just... Just let him run off like that! "Wait up-- Aza'zel!" She chirped, and in a mess of frantic feathers, she took off after him.

;; bevy exit (bwaha sorry guys omg;;;; maybe she'll come back later?? ;;;;;;;; )

Giggle turned her head, watching Aza'zel fly off with a faint stir of disappointment--the faintest echo of how she'd felt the first time they had met, when the damn bird had left her alone in the dark.

She flinched as the black-and-red bird fluttered up after him, and sneezed as a stray feather drifted into her nostrils.

Well. Now she was alone, with a sleeping deer. She stared down at Clover for awhile; she could eat her, and nobody would know. Or she could try growing little mushrooms on her--but no, she knew Aza'zel, so that would likely be frowned upon.

The downsides outweigh the benefits. Hmphh.

She turned, picking her way down a rocky slope, kicking a few bones as she went. She would go and rest, and maybe practice some more another time.

It had been a long day, after all--she'd tapped into her magic, learned to use it on demand, to some extent.

The question was, how best to put it to use?

Giggle glanced back at the sleeping white doe, for a moment, even as she slipped away into the darkness.
She tried to call up her magic once more as she slipped away from the sleeping doe, but she was too tired, and it would not come--not even the slightest tingle. As she turned forward, again, just before she passed into shadow, a secret and malicious grin twitched over her muzzle.

I'm sure I'll find its uses...
