RESTORED TO 100%

Day Three: Once more in my blind search though the marsh and the fog I have stumbled upon the wreckage of the obsidian slide. The moss has grown even thicker on it since dismantling it two days ago, and though it saddens me to see my first success in earth magic cast to rubble I am pleased in the knowledge that it is not likely to cause harm to any gembound in this form. Perhaps one day I will remake it without the nearly invisible jagged imperfections along the outer edge, but in the mean time I must continue my search for the magical statue piece as my talon heals naturally.

Hours pass and just like any day in this wind forsaken swamp my fur and feathers have been fully caked in unpleasantly stale mud from one too many stumbles. My fatigue and shivering bones would have me return to Pisces once more to rest and recover, but here in this featureless land where I am just as likely to stumble upon my own path as the pathway out I am uncertain if that is fully feasible at this time. Though I could take to the skies and soar above this disorienting fog I fear that I have journeyed too far today and might not get back before tiring out and having to descend once again. I will dry out some vegetable matter and make a fire to rest here for the night.

Day Four: What a night! It is a wonder I got any sleep with the sheer amount of noises that echoes through this misty cavern during the darker hours. I daresay that the frogs and birds and bats and insects are even louder than Monoceros at its most furious! The fire died out partway through the night but it was no matter; the dried mud, as troublesome as it is to contend with, actually provided a fair bit of insulation against the cold and the insects. I will press in further today and perhaps travel so far as to find the back wall. A small victory in the search for the missing piece but it would be a measurable one at least.

Shortly after setting out on my journey again I came upon a most odd discovery. While traveling across a precarious log over particularly deep water I lost my balance and fell upon a tree on the other side, my injured talon landing in an oddly shaped patch of fungi. Rather than searing pain from fungal toxin hitting my open wound I felt a sting from the impact and then instant relief as the cut numbed. I had heard that some species of fungi had medical properties to them but luck is certainly with me to have literally stumbled upon one. So far I have detected no adverse effects to these mushrooms, and have taken a half-pouch full of them to examine later. They may come in handy if I incur any future injuries that are too minor to bother spending magic energy on.

Halfway through day four and I have still seen no indication of the statue piece. In the distance there is that huge gnarled tree again; leading me once more to conclude that I am simply wandering in great circles. I will rest there for a while and continue my search after the break.
