Cancer had left Polaris and it's annoying black bird behind. His slate tablet was marked with the core's layout, rough claw marks more of a mess than before thanks to the feathered distraction. He was happy to leave that behind, and so, he made his way towards yet another unfamiliar tunnel- this one, he marked with the runic letter "N". He stood in the entrance of the tunnel from Polaris for a moment to carve the entrance in, then glancing up, decided it was safe to add the two short lines of its walls, and another entrance scribble. Scooping the tablet up between his horns, careful as not to drop and break it, the panther cub then proceeded to squeeze his way through the narrow passage and towards the sparkling exit at the other end. He wasn't sure what to expect in this new cave, but it could only be as inspiring as Polaris had been the first time he'd visited- though the cub noticed the ebbing flow of magic as he moved further and further from the precious core. He would miss that energizing burst. He'd have to come back and enjoy it later, but for now, the cub was set on exploring- to both prove to himself he could manage on his own, and to prove to Leon that he could be more than man enough to impress. Stupid bear.
