ORIGIN in Images: An Art Contest



A contest to express Origin Cave in a single image.

In this month's contest, we challenge you, our users, to show us your artistic ability. Create an image, in any medium and of any subject, that defines the essence of Origin Cave as you imagine it. It can be a comic, a drawing of a roleplay scene, a photomanipulation of a Gembound--you are limited only by your imagination! We have so many new members--let's find out how many of you are talented artists! (I bet it's a lot!) But that's not all. This art contest is also, in a way, an advertising contest: each submitted art piece must also be posted on a public social media site, be it Twitter, Facebook or DeviantArt. Let's drag in some more new friends via our sheer, wonderful shininess!

Rules:

• This contest will run from 12:00 am GMT on Sunday, May 6th, to 12:00 am GMT on Wednesday, June 6th. This gives you a full month to plan and create your artwork! Submissions given after this date will not be accepted for judging.
• Members can submit as many images as they like, in any medium.
• Keep it neat: submit all your images in one post, using the form provided at the bottom of this post.
• Each image must be posted to or linked on a relatively major social media site, such as Facebook, Tumblr, Twitter or DeviantArt, and your submission links should show us the public page rather than only the image. Submissions placed on other/obscure forums will not be accepted; you can always post a single image in more than one place. Each posted image should link back to Origin's main page and preferably provide some information about the site. *
• All art must use only copyright-free images. Stolen art, or artwork using copyrighted components, will be disqualified. All art must include links to all source material. That means, if you make a detailed photomanipulation, you must link back to credits/source on each image used.
• The final art submissions, once the contest is closed, will be voted on by the staff, and the top three artists will receive a reward.
• Pieces will be judged on not only artistic quality, but also creativity and originality. (Ha)

1st Place: Rare Character Slot or Mutation Slot (by winner's preference)
2nd Place: High Spell Borrow
3rd Place: 400 Magicka
