Magicka Deluge Contest + Singing Crystals Event



Small new crystals have begun to sprout throughout the cave! They are easily located by following the soft, crystalline chiming they seem to be giving off. This quiet but melodic tinkling seems to be resonating with a pulsing swell of energy coming from the Core, flooding the caves with magicka!

Jupiter has taken up position in Tunnel O, and is asking for Gembounds to bring her samples of these mysterious singing stones.

Unfortunately, the magicka flooding the caves has stirred the golems into a frenzy...

Origin's Magicka Deluge Contest & Singing Crystals Event have begun! This event is a combination OOC writing contest, and IC event. Until July 10th, all posts will earn double magicka, for a total of 10 earned per post (doubled in Polaris).

The Magicka Deluge Writing Contest is an OOC contest that will reward active players who post open and quality roleplay. Because posts during this event will also earn extra magicka, participating should prove very rewarding! See this link for further details.

The Singing Crystals Event is an IC event running concurrently with the contest. Players can aid Jupiter in collecting these crystals, or they might collect them for themselves--but beware... Golems may invade any thread at any time for the duration of this event. Golems are attracted to magic, and are more active closer to Polaris, so be aware of location and magicka use if you want to stay safe*! See this link for the quest thread.

In other news, the winners for the Art Contest have been decided! 50 magicka will be sent to each person who posted a submission. First through third places are, in order:

Last but not least, the winner of the "vote for Origin's next contest" poll was, by a slim margin of exactly one vote, a "Design an NPC Contest"! This will be designed by our GMs over the month of June, and will likely take place in July.
