(Note: This is a self thread. It takes place sometime after Ocean Whistling, but has no direct influence on any specific threads.)

Heart-Song had no idea how they had got here. They had no recollection of even entering this tunnel, no remembrance of being seperated from Aegir on their journey. There was only a faint memory of the two Gembounds traveling through an unknown cave, and even that gave no indication as to where they previously were.

Still, they thought with unflinching optimism, if they didn't know where they were, Aegir certainly did. Until he found them, there was no point wandering off further and confusing the bear's search. So, with that creed in mind, they resolved to sit there and wait.

Said resolution lasted a total of five minutes before they got bored of sitting down and doing nothing. Heart-Song was determined to stick in the same area until Aegir got there, but less determined to be bored while doing so. They reached for their magic. Maybe they had learned something new in the time they had taken to explore the caves?

They had, it seemed, although it was hard to tell. Indeed, their magic surged forward out of their gem, and indeed, Heart-Song felt the subtle drain of using magic, but what the spell actually did was hard to tell.

Wait- there, in the background noise of the tunnel. A distant howling wind could be heard in the background, and there, layered over it, was another, weaker replica of the noise. Was that the magic Heart-Song had performed?

The cockatiel decided to investigate further, reaching for their magic again and singing a soft trill.
