At the small compliment of her magic, Huckleberry sat up a little taller, proud. Yes, that was the one thing that she truly loved about herself. Her magical abilities, tempered and trained the way a wolf would sharpen their claws. "Yes, yes, it is! I work hard to make it fun and strong!" This was the first thing in the conversation that really felt strong and confident. For a moment she was tempted to get up and show Jayberry what she had been working on but she stopped herself in time, remembering that she had to conceal the gem beneath her.

He pose which had shifted to proud and strong went back to crouching and nervous. She nodded blankly at Jayberry's comment. "Yeah. The Spire's pretty cool too." She had gotten kind of close a few times, but she never felt very safe getting too close. But she would sometime. She had promised herself that she would.

With an internal wrench of frustration, she pulled her attention back to Jayberry and the gem. She had to focus!

The she-wolf smiled as Huckleberry seemed to preen at her compliment, allowing her tail to wag like a dog happy to have made his Master proud. Well, she might as well have been. Just a prim-evil dog, with their kin instead of their Master. However, she had to admit that the confidence that Huckleberry was showing was surprising and, indeed, made her proud.

Huckle had always been far too uncertain and shy, and so to see them speak so confident for once was... conflicting. On the one paw, Huckleberry really needed to become more confident. Yet, Huckleberry was drifting from the family, and so it would be best for them if they remained withdrawn.

However, she couldn't help but to tilt her head as the Moosegoose's posture rapidly changed. From strong to confident, then suddenly back to nervous and crouching. Her ears twitched, and she asked "Are you alright?" as though concerned. And she was - somewhat about Huckleberry, but there were many things for her to be concerned about.

"It is! I've only ever seen it from far away, unfortunately. Could never bring myself to go up to it. We should go up to it together, sometime!" she offered with a friendly wag of her tail. Maybe, if she was nice enough, she could build enough of a relationship with Huckle as to enthrall them into feeding her information that she could relay to mother.

@Huckleberry

"She speaks." 'She thinks.' She does.
