Envy had been busy; too busy. Or perhaps they'd just been avoiding the issue of Pride's little 'predicament'. Whatever the case, with Charity around, they had to pick their moment pretty carefully. They didn't want her hearing about this. Now, with the little one away with Pride, Envy trotted off to find Gluttony, and finally put the uneasy feeling in their belly to rest. They wouldn't be long; they'd undoubtedly be back before Pride and Charity.

A few times they almost turned back, shuddering with sheer disgust. Were they really doing this?

Yes. Although Pride seemed fine for now, they couldn't risk losing him later. And there had always been something that irked them about the idea that this... sentient worm spending every minute and every day with their most treasured subject. The idea of having to share him bothered them.

Halfheartedly, Envy searched the corners of the throne room, and the areas just outside, where they knew that Gluttony liked to tend his crops. He couldn't have gone far; somehow, Envy didn't think he was the type to venture very far from known sources of food.

"Gluttony," they called, shrill voice echoing through the derelict walls of Orion. "This is your King. Are you there?"
