Mercurius purred loudly --- almost obnoxiously --- as his son trotted forth and gave his farewells. "Perhaps, you will both go your separate ways," he rumbled, in regards to Azizos. The lion wasn't entirely certain of what direction his other son would take, but he had a few guesses; Pride was never one to not encourage knowledge-seeking and curiosity. He'd often spend every waking hour studying Lessers and magicka, thinking of new theories and ideas regarding their connections. As much time as the stag and Azizos spent together, Mercy was sure that the lion-stag must be very eager to go on his own journeys.

"I will eagerly await what you bring back, Arsu," he called after his son. He drew back with a slight note of surprise as his apparently ecstatic child paused and peered out from the undergrowth. Warmth flooded every bit of the lion's tired old joints, and he smiled softly, "and I am glad to have you as my son. You're a good, kind-hearted soul --- the caves are always in short supply of those."

Just as Arsu vanished from sight again, he called once more, "I love you." Then, he simply lay beneath the Monarch for a moment. His neck craned slightly, peering up into the gills. If you are, indeed, the All-Mother --- like your disciples believed you to be --- watch over my son. He will do well, but there's no harm in being cautious.
