Imperia growled as he failed to meet the wolf in the air. And as she pinned him down, well. This just simply wouldn't do. His teeth were gritted, but he wouldn't dare attempt to actually hurt the wolf. Much as it was tempting.

He paused a moment, preparing himself. It'd take a lot of strength to get her off - she was bigger than him, that was clear. But if he did it at just the right time, catching her by surprise...If it worked, he would attempt to push himself up quickly, throwing the wolf off of him.

The she-wolf's tensed as she felt Imperia gathered himself beneath her, waiting to see what he would do. Even still, she wasn't able to keep from being flung off as he threw himself upward, knocking her off her paws. She grunted, staggering and spinning around, head swinging towards him.

Imperia grinned as he succeeded in throwing the wolf off. His victory was short-lived, however, as soon Jayberry came swinging toward him. And at the force with which she did so, he could feel the breath leaving him. He hadn't been expecting something nearly that hard.

It took him a moment to catch his breath. His eyes were narrowed in Jayberry's direction. And then, without warning, he leaped.

The battle was just about over, but he had to do something. He had to ensure he won. Right now, he wasn't sure who was in the lead. But had had to win.
