The skeletal herd, shrouded by that wispy light, moved on. Lipless muzzles, shining teeth, brushed over stone as if in search. They ignored the loose bones, the piles, bar to scatter them about and search beneath.

Slowly, they began to drift through Canis, seeming to look for something they could not find: heads low, swivelling this way and that, as if they would find what they sought along the ground.

But the longer the Gembound followed them, the more it would become clear: they were not finding what they sought.

Aran felt himself being pulled by the canine that he had pushed out of the way, being pulled out of the fight himself. Normally, he would have been rather upset, and tried to get out of the jaws of the creature, but, when the canine spoke about friendship, he couldn't be mad at the small but sharp teeth of the other. He stood, pulling himself off of the canine, and stared with his dark eyes before thinking of an answer. "Sure. Friend. Thank you for saving me, too." He replied.

His attention then turned to the clattering of bones that was all around them. The many creatures that were bones and moving around, were digging, looking for something. Aran wondered what it was! It didn't look like they were finding what they were after, though. His eyes gazed around again, to see the other canines also looking. Maybe he could help? As long as they don't try to eat him.

He remembered something he was told before by the non-abrogate creatures he'd spoken to before. Magic? Were they looking for something that was related to that? Maybe he could try something himself!

Deli
Deli smiled widely and wagged their tail, barking happily as the fawn accepted their friend request. The fear was leaking from their expression and they were defaulting back to excitement, now caught up again in the mystery of all these weird bone things. "What looking for? Bone? Rock? We find! Maybe they want to play then!" What, exactly, Deli meant by "play" wasn't really clear, but they bounced off towards the other canines, yapping. "Find stuff!"

Without waiting for the others to say anything back, they dived forward, beginning to dig into the pile of bones near one of of the bone creatures, throwing up bones and rock and dirt and splashing themselves with water. They grabbed a couple of nice rocks that the skeletons might like, a cool piece of bone, what looked liked a piece of metal, and a small chunk of spinel.

Carrying all this in their jaws, trying not to wince as some of it stabbed at the upper parts of their mouth, they trotted over to the nearest skeleton creature, duping their collection of Stuff on the ground and giving a small, friendly yap. "Here! Things!" They eyed the little collection of trinkets with a fairly jealous eye, however, and suddenly found themselves not wanting to give any of it away. A paw came out and carefully moved it closer, considering. "You...have one!"

Vyette was growing frustrated. In all her excited digging, the stone on her forehead had shifted. A dull ache wept from it, seeping into her head. Her vision blurred and a part of her wanted to quit, to go home. But she was determined.

She stopped her efforts and instead shifted to observation again. Dark eyes held the creatures as they mulled about, and she watched the deer and the other dog, of course, as they were quite hard to miss.

Vyette didn’t feel as though much was revealed to her… maybe it did seem as though the skeletons were more concerned with what was under the piles: the ground? Her eyes did then sweep over the ground, wondering if they’d missed anything that she may notice.

She wandered a bit away, eyes scouring, head throbbing.
