"Ahahaha, good thing they're...back." An odd pause. An odd grin: wide, and blank, and without true warmth in it. Black did not dislike easily, but he found distrust for Deli at once: the creature's smiles were wrong, its words ever-so-faintly sinister. It cared nothing for the deaths of the children. Untrustworthy. Damaged, perhaps. Or mad. He made a note to warn his children, and turned away.

"No bones?"

"No bones," Black agreed. "The dead rejoin the black."

Bones and all.

He decided to stick close to Max; to protect him against any move that Deli might make. And to protect, too, his children.

When Max left, so would he. Until then, he remained, watching in silence, now.

When addressed by name, Crown Two Sword puffed out his chest, smiling softly. They were Crown, and they- should they know the dog? Sword sniffed in the air in dog-like fashion, eyes wide as he looked over Deli. They were there too?

He blinked, though, as he looked to the Black Dog. The concept of him dying was still a bit odd, but he seemed to accept it rather easily compared to someone else who would've died. It was a fact of their nature, after all. But- here? Right here? This is where they died?

It didn't seem any more special, but the stone lighting his horns drew his attention. A blank mind contemplated it wordlessly. He tried to envision it- And subsequently made a face like he had a bad taste in his mouth, shaking his head.

His brother was right, though. There were no bones, but their father had taught them another lesson. Prey had bones, then, while... They would not, when they died. Sword's head fell back into his half-mane as he looked over it all, staring up at the Spire once more.

He'd follow behind the Black Dog's tail closely as he turned, giving a soft nudge to Crown to follow with an excited trill.

"The dead rejoin the black."

The black? Like prey?

Crown didn't ask any further, though; he resigned himself to silence, joining his brother in a staring contest with the Spire. As Black left and a nudge bumped into his shoulder - bringing him back to the caves - he yipped softly, and followed without much else.
