It seemed that Faraday had finally, finally, found her way out of Monocerous- with enough time, effort, and struggling, the gemling had ducked into a seeminly innocuous opening and had found themselves in well- less than a crevice, more of a… tunnel, if anything. Now with the wind no longer buffeting against her stubby fur and blowing it out of place, her mind could finally settle into something more calm. It seemed like a few self-conscious licks were in order. She was bedraggled, yes, whipped about- of course, but not mangy.

Sparks jumped across her tongue to her fur sporadically, and she eyed it with found wonder. It was not a new happening, but filled her with warm curiosity each time nonetheless. When she finally found a place to rest, it was like she was quite literally charged from fighting Monocerous’s natural winds, the adrenaline looking for a place to settle in her veins.

(That probably wasn’t why it was happening, but all she had known was wind- so it made sense to pin the blame there. It was either that, or the two small, black creatures that she had seen at her awakening, but they seemed far too nice for that.)

Faraday could feel the buzzing under her skin, skittering up and down her legs and haunches with a frantic hum. It wasn’t dangerous, per say. She knew that it, as the current, was hers, but she didn’t know how much was under her control.

Looking down the long stretch of rock and undisturbed dirt, she decided that perhaps now was the time to find out. With her front hoof (the real one, made of bone and not excitable gemstone), she rolled over a selection of stones, all different sizes and textures. She wanted to harness the energy, make it her own to control, but the urge to just release became more intense with each second of internal debate.

She gritted her teeth, and pushed the feeling through her quartz hoof.

The air between her and the target seemed to fizzle for a brief second, the fur on her back finally laying flat as the charge slipped from one container to another. It hadn't dispelled, not completely, but fizzled quietly in the background, placated for now.

The stone that had received whatever she sent looked no different, but it had a sort of... draw to it. Faraday tentatively reached out to poke it, unsure of what changes had taken place. A thin spark of light crackled as her hoof got within it's space, and she flinched backwards, stunned by the sudden reaction. Again, her fur raised like an old friend, releasing what little warmth she had trapped under it.
