Blight scrambled off to one side as Glaive nodded for him to do so; he understood that much, at least. And when she dumped the fish, he scrambled back, snagging it and pulling it away from the edge. He wasn't sure if it was dead, yet, but no use in having another one just go flopping back into the lagoon!

He moved out of the way, watching admiringly as Glaive burst forth from the water like another shampoo model. As she roared, so did he--wordless, tilting back his head and letting out his own shrieking imitation. It was, unfortunately, a child dragon's squealing more than anything, wholly unimpressive.

And then he tossed her the fish.

"FISHER-DRAGONS!" he agreed, now their war cry, it seemed.

He settled back, resting for the moment, water still dripping from him. And he looked around.

"This place is good--it's got water--but it's cold," he observed, after the moment of excitement had passed. "Oh and thanks for getting me out. I was stuck." (As if that hadn't been clear.) "I wanna see the OTHER ocean! And I want to--I want to introduce you to Dad, and Dad-Dad."

He looked to Glaive brightly, still looking rather like a half-drowned pigeon where he lay sprawled in the puddle of water streaking off him in rivulets. "What do you wanna do?!" he asked.

Water-air dragon solidarity at its finest.

Glaive took the fish rather eagerly, and did a chop-shop job of splitting it and tossing the other end to her pal. She munched on it while Blight spoke, leaving only the head.

Mouth full of fish, she nodded and grunted, "itsh vuryy culd..." The whelp'd gotten used to it, but she did miss the warmth of Fornax. Swallowing down, she added, "you're welcome! I'll show you the othER -"

A beat. She tried again, "the othER -"

Oh, no, she couldn't stop what was coming... a jaw-cracking yawn that she punctuated with a few "lip" smacks and "the other ocean..."

Both of those things sounded really nice, truly, but she just - suddenly... "I wanna take... a nap first? Then! We can go do both of those.... things!" Her enthusiasm was up and down, but Glaive certainly looked whipped, even laying there.

Baby blues could barely stay open as she shuffled towards another patch of light and got ready to curl up in it and conk out.

"Okay!"

...Pause.

...Yawn.

"You made me yaaaawn," Blight complained, half-humorously and very loudly. He turned and waddled after Glaive, and for a moment he looked at how comfortable she was--at the warm patch of light--and wanted to lay there, too.

Then he remembered Vargas, and Orthoclase-Alpha, and how the other dragons had warned him to always stay up high and hidden, and alert.

Then he looked at the light, again.

"You gotta hide me, okay? Just in case anyone comes. There's some guys who want dragons," he explained--and then gasped-! "You're a dragon, too! I'll tell you about them later. We gotta be careful."

Apparently, that warning fulfilled all responsibilities regarding precautionary measures, because Blight then attempted to clamber onto the open space left around Glaive's mid-section and just use her as a pillow. And a bed, really.

Glaive giggled brightly at Blight's yawn, and then her jaws split in another yawn. Let the recursive yawnfest ensue.

She shuffled in place, getting more and more comfortable - and akin to a blob of pudding than any creature with form - with every passing second. Baby blues shot awake at the mention of hiding and keeping watch, but the whelp was quick to announce that "I'll hide you so good" just for the possibility of cuddling with someone for the first time.

The dragon, for all his boniness and large wingspan, seemed to fit just right against her, and she slipped right into sleep: full, content, and so so happy. This was the life.

He curled up casually atop the spinosaurus' flank, and for a few moments he remembered his duties, and nearly resolved to keep watch, instead of sleep.

The thought passed through his mind, and then his eyes were closed; and then he was snoring, soft and quiet, in the warmth and light.
