Kalama waited for Kalaziel to finish drinking, though she grumbled in annoyance. Patience wasn't one of the dino-chicken's strong suits. When the worm turned his attention back to her, she eagerly dragged a claw down Kala the Second's forehead, careful of the claw. It left a mark above its eye, a smear of mud, haphazard but holding its shape. She repeated the action with the other eye. Kalama took a step back to admire her handiwork. It was very intimidating in her opinion.
"There!" She said, tucking her wings close. She began to wipe her claws on the ground. "Now you look intimidating! When you're actually intimidating you wont need that, Kala the second." Kalama paused. Would Kala the second ever get intimidating? She hoped that they did. She was also growing to hate that name with every passing second.
"Kala the second is too close to Kalama. I'm the only Kalama. The best Kalama. You can be something different. Maybe you can earn the title of Kala the second. How about Kalaangry! Kaladeath. Kalamurder?" Kalama hummed.

"Oh, Kalazeal! It's like Kalama but with zeal." Maybe Kalama should change her name too. Call herself Kalamurder. Or Kalaplunder. Or Kalachampion. Maybe KalaDefeaterofThousands.

Kalaziel
I feel most times we're high and low
If I had my way, never let you go
The young gembound squirmed for a minute as the cool mud was applied with care to their face. It felt weird having the substance coating small amounts of facial feathers. If anything, at least the worm was glad for the more 'intimidating features' that Kalama had so graciously smeared on. The worm took a moment to peer back into the water once more, trying to observe themselves through the murky depths. It would do for now.

Within moments it seemed that Kalama was back to discussing the topic of names. The worm listened carefully as reasons were thrown back and forth on which name would best suit the creature. The need to continue the topic was necessary the younger creature supposed. A name was unique and something that would describe you to others. The final name, Kalaziel, struck a chord. It sounded right to the worm. Close to the name of their life giver, yet diverse enough to carve their own path.
"Kalaziel is great! Strong and cool!" they said excitedly. This was suitable name. A suitable name indeed.

Kalama nodded, satisfied. Their child was strong. And with the mud upon their face, they looked the part as well.

"Kalaziel the murder destroyer." She said. "All shall fear your name. Fear us!" She added, slapping her chest with a wing. "Ill keep reapplying that mud. It'll make you look so cool! Uh, cooler!" But looking cool was only half the part. Kalaziel would have to be cool as well. She paused, thinking. She wasn't sure what else to teach Kalaziel for now. More fighting?

"Ill take you to other caves soon. Teach you how to murder-kill the lessers there. And then? You're gonna fight your first greater!" She wasn't sure who that greater was. Maybe she could ambush a bonebound? Ooh--or get Imp to fight Kalaziel! Imp was blind, so she was sure the fight would be even.
