Mevoh was busy eating a venomous snake on the ground. Catching venomous snakes was easy. Secretary birds were naturally built for catching deadly snakes. Venomous snakes tasted better than any other prey item out there. Venomous snakes were like a delicacy to Mevoh. Animals like cheetahs, lions or wolves could not catch snakes like secretary birds could. They did not have the speed or agility to do so. They are not naturally suited for hunting snakes. Mevoh belonged to a species, the most worthy and dangerous birds of prey in the bird world. Mevoh was proud of it. She was a killer queen. Nothing would change that.

Lalreothes walked flaunting her looks and train of tail feathers flowing behind her. She was a gorgeous peacock alright. This female was proud of her looks and was not afraid to show off. Lalreothes noticed a fellow bird of hers nearby. She remembered seeing this bird before but could not quite put her finger on when or where. She walked up proudly and spoke. "You seem like quite the hunter. Catching venomous snakes must be the specialty of your species. Quite impressive. Peacocks can't catch venomous snakes." Lalreothes looked pleased with this bird's talents. She knew secretary birds were famed birds of prey.

Mevoh stopped eating to see a beautiful female peacock in her presence. When it came to other gembound creatures, she was cruel and cold. But to other birds of prey she considered them first priority. That's just how she was. Mevoh gave a nod to show she was listening and spoke. "Yes. We secretary birds are one of the most skilled of birds of prey. I admire your looks. What is your name?" Mevoh had good looks herself, but this peacock's looks were more elegant. Mevoh continued to eat at her kill, still listening to the gorgeous peacock.

Lalreothes puffed out loud at the compliment. She spoke very pleased. "Beauty runs through a peacock's genes. It's only natural for a peacock to be perceived as beautiful, most of us anyway. You have good looks yourself. You seem tall and noble, and your coloring and feathers match as well. My name is Lalreothes. May I know what your name is?" Lalreothes liked this bird. She seemed decent. But she had no clue that this secretary bird was being nice to her simply because of the fact she was a bird and beautiful.

Mevoh spoke as she paused eating for a quick moment. She was pleased with this gembound. Being pleased with gembounds is a rare thing for her. She saw others as inferior to her, aside from the masters. Mevoh saw this peacock as equal to her. Well, almost. Mevoh spoke. "My name is Mevoh. You must know a lot about different species to know I am a secretary bird. It is nice to meet you Lalreothes. Usually I find other creatures repugnant and not to my taste. So, Lalreothes. What are you doing in Pisces?" Mevoh smiled, seeing this bird as a friend. What she did not know is that she and this peacock shared the same arrogant and vain attitude. Superiority was in their blood.

Lalreothes wondered why she was in Pisces. Well, she wanted to just enjoy the view of the waterfall. Aside from that she had no other purpose here. "I came to simply see the waterfall. Speaking of, I need to practice my magic more. I have arcane magic, but I need to practice it more. Speaking of, perhaps I should go to Orion to use it. There are a lot of mysteries in that cave. I will see you around Mevoh. Would you like to be a close friend of mine? I see you have potential." Lalreothes could feel potential coming off this tall bird. She felt positive this bird could be a good ally.

Mevoh smiled at the peacock. "Of course. I favor you as well. Consider us friends Lalreothes. Have safe travels. I will see you sometime soon. Take care." Mevoh smiled at the shorter, elegant looking bird and continued eating her fill of the snake. Finally, someone worthy of her respect.

Lalreothes nodded and flew off in the direction of Orion. Her beautiful train of tail feathers were held proudly behind her. Mevoh was now an ally. She was ready to see where this would take her.

Mevoh finished eating her snake, and flew off herself. She was satisfied making a friend after eating a good meal. But she knew she would not find many creatures like this worthy of her respect.
