Entu was eating leaves in a tree. She enjoyed being in Eridanus. It was her natural habitat after all. Entu was trusting of most gembounds until they gave her a reason not to be. The caves were wonderful, but she loved Eridanus the most. It was her home after all. Once Entu had her fill of leaves, she moved slowly and casually from branch to branch. But what the small tree kangaroo didn't know is that she was being watched.

Zelarstrox was now on the hunt. She saw a tasty treat with the colors of golden and brown moving slowly through the trees. This gembound is a ferocious predator, who hunted lesser gembounds... and gembounds like herself. She didn't hunt other predators such as lions, wolves, cheetahs or anything of the sort. She hunted prey animals. Zelarstrox was a true predator. She silently stalked the tree kangaroo through the trees, getting close. Then once she got close enough, she bolted for the tree kangaroo. She locked her jaws around the neck of the tree kangaroo, and held on tight as her lethal claws dug on its back. The wolverine could feel the tree kangaroo losing its fighting spirit. Good, the wolverine had a tenacious appetite.

Entu thrashed around for her life. She was losing air. She was being stalked and had no clue, and now it was too late. She could see her attacker was a wolverine. Entu could feel blood coming from her neck. It was painful, more painful than anything else. Entu started to lose consciousness, knowing that she was going to lose her life here and now. Entu kept kicking. Then suddenly, Entu stopped breathing. She went limp. Entu was now dead, and was now a meal for Zelarstrox.

Zelarstrox let go of Entu and started to rip her meal open. Meat tasted so delectable to the wolverine. She would never pass up an opportunity for food. She was a hunter and a scavenger. Meat was a primary goal for her. She could put away pounds of meat easily. Her appetite was huge. Zelarstrox ate hungrily, even crushing the bones of her meal. Then she ripped out the stone, and then finished up eating her food. She held the gemstone in her jaws and then went off to look for her next meal.
