Kaimana watched, feeling entirely helpless as this poor little fuzzy friend just shivered and quaked and melted into the earth, like an entirely self-contained biohazard was exploding in their mind and their body could only let it out through the tiniest seams and orifices. Kaimana wondered if the poor thing was being frozen up by the fear, somehow. She caught her companion comforter's look, and struggled to find an expression that would wordlessly convey the utter confusion as well as the resolute concern that she felt in her own heart. She landed on an expression that might be read as 'Stay here'.

If it was allowed, the jaguar would try to groom the little friend's fur. If it wasn't, Kaimana wouldn't mind. Whatever this one needed, she'd be happy to provide. "Crying is good. It feels worse not to cry," Kaimana said, an attempt at comfort. She didn't understand why the little thing felt so guilty about all this. Sometimes Kaimana didn't want to cry, yes, but her body wanted to cry. Sometimes she was already sopping wet when she wanted to cry, so she wanted to at least keep her eyes dry. But she would cry anyways because her eyes burned, and if she didn't let it out, her eyes would just keep burning and burning until she was all burnt up. Perhaps it was better to burn than to drown, but Kaimana wouldn't know.

When it seemed the storm, almost as hysteric as the ones in the room Kaimana dwelled in, had died down, the little one apologized some more. Kaimana looked at them with obvious concern in her eyes. "You weren't. And you didn't." She looked at her companion comforter, and then looked back at the dark fuzzy friend. "Want a bone?" It was all she knew to give, besides fish. She could also get fish. "Or fish? I can get you fish." Maybe they wanted to chew on something, or eat something, or just look at something cool and nice, like a bone.

She looked at the creature made of many different parts again. "Can you stay if I go get something?" Like asking your roommate to hold down the fort while you went to the grocery store.

He let her sob and break down. his mind was hazy in here, and something about this made him remember a time when he felt lost, too. when all we wanted to do was cry, he couldn't remember it fully but the feeling was there. he assumed it mustve been terribly confusing, whatever it was.

he hummed absently, speaking in a raspy voice in as comforting and calm a tone he could. "aye, no need ta 'pologize. we all need ta cry sometimes, lass, its just how things are. we've got all the time in the world, don't we now, lass?" he honked. it almost came out as a hiss, like his mind couldn't decide which fit best. it didn't sound malicious, just natural, like a snake trying to pronounce long S words.

he nodded to kaimana, "of course, i've got enough fur to make up for both of us, lass" he yipped.

he turned to wilder again, eyes soft. "ya've got to not rub at yer eyes, lass, you'll make em dry, they dont appreciate pets as much as gembound do" he advised with a soft chuckle.

The panic and stress that Wilder had infliced on her own mind and body had thoroughly exhausted her, leaving her to have no choice but to relax on the ground, head laying back against Sheng. She let out a small hiccup as her breath finally evened out. The gentle rasp of Kaimana's tongue against her fur was comforting, more then she could have expected. After so many cycles alone, without the comfort and love she loved and craved and needed it was just...all of this was almost too much. They were so kind to her. They were so welcoming. She didn't know them, but they made Wilder feel, for the first time since...since....

She couldn't remember the last time.

And that was sent more tears spilling down her face. She didn't have the energy anymore to launch into another fit of sobbing so they instead streamed quietly over her cheeks. She didn't care anymore that she was weak. She didn't care anymore if she was bothering those two. It was a moment of selfishness, perhaps, but one well warranted and one she embraced fully because Kaimana was right. Crying felt good after holding it in for so long, pretending like everything was fine, that she was happy again and that things had just fixed themselves. Because they hadn't and here was the proof.

Her eyes flicked to Kaimana and she gently shook her head, grateful for the offer but the thought of food right now made her feel queasy. "N-no...no, that's...okay I just." She sniffled. "Thank you. Both of you. You d-didn't have to...to help me. But I appreciate is...a lot." Her eyes flicked over to Sheng and the smallest of smiles curled the edges of her mouth. "Y-yeah...sorry I'll st-stop." But now her eyes were all itchy and she wanted to reach up and start rubbing at them again, but she stopped herself by curling up, paws folded in against her chest. She didn't know what else to say. She just wanted to keep laying here, feeling warm and cared for, wanted and loved and she never wanted to leave. She could just...forget about things for a little bit.
