Comet
Arctic Wolf
Comet smiled at Sun as he made his statement. "And I'll always protect Sun!" she promised. And her promises were hard to come by, as she believed in never breaking one. They were the best duo, one in the trees and one on the ground, they could cover each other's backs. Even though she had only been with them for about a week, she already loved them as if she had lived with them forever, and she knew that she would give her life to protect them.

Comet had to agree with James on some parts. A living thing whose only purpose was to carry things? It sounded bad, but maybe Legs didn't see it that way. Maybe they couldn't think very well. She laughed when it responded to her 'hello' with a bow. It was polite!

Would it be okay with carrying living things? Could she ride on it? "Legs can we ride on you?" she knew that Aristotle and James allowed her and Sun to ride on their backs, and wondered if it was the same with Legs.

Hope is but a waking dream
Aristotle moved to the side and stepped beside Last legs giving them a gentle nudge forward. ”It’s alright Legs, they won’t hurt you.” He urged gently wanting the creature to open up just a bit. He knew that Legs was safe, but Last Legs seemed a bit timid. ”I think I found that out the hard way.” Aristotle chuckled lightly as he watched Legs with an ever so warm gaze. ”Yes James Legs feels and they can say yes and no. They are a really good listener too.” The lion explained with a warm tone to his voice. It would seem the lion had found a bit of affection for the creature in their journey home.

Legs gave a slight jump as Aristotle moved out of the way now being completely exposed it seemed to freeze and gain a sheepish air. Last Legs wiggled a front leg and foot in greeting to James. Last Legs gave what looked like a look down at Comet as she came up. Last Legs gave a tilt to each side as it thought about her question for a moment. Then it gave a dip up and down.

A bright pleased smile spread over the little gibbon’s face. His sister would always protect him, and he would always protect her. They would be a perfect pair to take care of each other. Sun was easy to keep fed as he ate fruit and vegetation. Comet he could learn to hunt from the trees and help keep her fed if he needed to. They could always count on each other for help and comfort in times of trouble.

Sun walked in circled around Last Legs looking at them and taking them in. His curiosity leading him to stand up right and run his hands over the wooden parts of the creature. It was strange and yet so alive. ”You’re so wonderful Legs.” Then Comet asked the question that had just come to his own mind as well. Could they ride Legs? Would Legs let them ride on it? Then it gave a nod of sorts and Sun let out a cheerful hoot of excitement as he danced around and sat down on his butt next to Comet.

James looked at the kids and the living wagon, sighing softly. He remained where he was, sitting on the ground. He looked down, gathering up his wings into his sides again.

"I hope this move isn't so tedious," he said with a sigh, "I can't get away from my own worries even in sleep..."

He heaved himself to his legs with a grunt, shaking out his body gently before rearranging his wings and looking at Ari with an unreadable expression.

" Do you think we'll need supplies?", he asked, and looked to their shared home, to the furs, the trees, the lights.

There was so much to move. He and Ari could carry much, and Legs even more, and the kids could probably carry a small bag of their own things. Maybe he ought to stop worrying so much.

Comet laughed as Legs nodded its head, or rather, its front body. They were funny. She watched James, who looked forlorn and sad. His worry spread to her, but she shook off those negative feelings. It was going to be fine! The move to Eridanus would be great.

But it was getting late now, and Comet wanted to go to bed. "I'm tired. I will go sleep now." She walked into the side room where she laid down on the pelts and fell asleep.

"Exit unless woken up."

Hope is but a waking dream
Aristotle looked to James slightly confused by what he said but shrugged it off. He would ask him what was bothering him later. Then James stood and looked at him, his expression strange. It struck something in Aristotle that he pushed away. Instead of anything else the lion just offered James a gentle smile then looked around the room at the children and then to Legs.

”I don’t think we’ll need much. I can always come back for stuff after the initial move. I found a good clearing to use to make the house.” Aristotle voiced his thoughts to James so willingly. Though Aristotle wasn’t so sure about using Legs as it was meant to. Not only because it was a living creature but because the Collector had warned him that when loaded Legs was a bit flighty to say the least. He hadn’t tested that just yet but he would soon enough. He’d use it for the first time when it was needed. He didn’t want to overly stress Last Legs when it was unnecessary.

Aristotle’s gaze once more fell on Comet as she voiced her tiredness. ”That sounds like a good idea. We should all take a good rest for the night. Taking a deep breath and letting it out in a slow sigh the lion followed after his daughter to the bedroom, where the large blue topaz gem egg rested on a nest of furs. ”Good night Abraxas. Goodnight James and Sun.” The lion bid his good night to everyone else as he went and lay down on the pile of pelts that was their bed.

Last legs followed soon after laying near a wall.
